Again, no one was tripped. As the article clearly states that the girl fell on her own. You also don't see a trip on the video.

I have played sports throughout college and continue on men's leagues. So please don't preach to me.

I think every adult on this forum knows this which begs the question. Why on earth would someone start a thread to inform us hitting someone while playing soccer is wrong?

And what is really baffling is if the officials are dealing with this cat fight and no one suffered any significant injuries what so ever why would you want the man in charge of the world's second largest nuclear arsenal to take time out of his day to comment on it? There is no indication he knows about it or any of the last 1,000 cat fights that happened on this planet in the last 24 hrs.

 

...so, laying there on the ground waiting for someone to save you is a good thing?...so when theres no one around to save you do you just give up and die?...repeat after me, "BAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"...

She gets tripped and it’s as plain as her being white. And that doesn’t happen in soccer all the time. Running happens all the time. Passes happen all the time. Tripping someone from behind isn’t and if it did – you’d see a lot more fights like hockey! A sport that lets you fight when another player is dirty…

Ice Hockey Allows for fights. Its part of the game. However fights start out with two willing parties, not one guy clobbering the other when he isn't expecting it.

Then you don’t watch hockey (Go Hockeytown) and shouldn’t be talking about things you know nothing about. Hockey allows fights because of “cheap shots” and dirty play and feels that there is only so much a person can take until “the gloves come off”… that’s the saying if you didn’t know – and that is why I used it at a reference, and that is why you don’t know (again) what you’re talking about…

 

I agree... Like I said in the Zimmerman thread. My daughter would have punched Zimmerman also. If it's not a person of authority - do not answer any questions and if they get in your way - beat their ass... My daughter has taken defense classes and has slapped many a boy for acting stupid.

My dad said that if I "lost" a fight he would send me back out there and fight again until I won or the person surrendered... My older brother got his ass kicked four times until the dude said that he wasn't going to punch my brother again... he didn’t win, but he got respect.

 

I just watched it about 10 times, put it in slow motion, there is no tripping.

Same here. Rewatched a number of times now. I do not see the trip.

But rewatching it is now starting to bring out some other interesting observations.

#5 sort of went there to assist her team mate, but didn't put down the ball she was holding (odd), and stopped short of actually helping her team mate (possibly 2nd person in rule, or the woman on the way to interjecting told her to back off. Same girl, at the 24 sec point, is open mouthed shocked that this assault is happening.

Could just be chick behavior. With guys, someone goes after a team mate, we get on it immediately.

 

we can all be tough guys on the internet.

 

...I agree...it happens and you have 2 choices, fight or flight, and all you really need to do is run faster then the person with you...
