I've noticed that links to youtube videos currently display a link rather than an image of the YT video. I hope that we'll eventually go back to displaying the video's image rather than a link.
Honey, it's easy.... click reply....see the icon second from the right ? Click that and insert the url. Here's one for ya...
Like this? Hopefully we go back on auto pilot
Do you have any idea of whether or not video images will be shown in the future, or are we stuck with links only?
Most of the time when you post a YT link, an image of the video is displayed. Here though, you have to wrap the YT link with the video icon. It'd be nice if we could just paste the YT link and have the image displayed again.
Oh okay, I get it. I don't know, the software here is a lot different to the old forum, and I know a few things have changed, this is likely one of them.
It seems like an easy enough fix. People would much rather have an image to preview than a drab link to click. But, since we still have the ability to display an image of the video, there isn't much to complain about. It'd just be nice if YT links displayed themselves as images rather than links.
Yes we used to have a plugin to auto-embed, because there was no button for embedding. I am unsure about adding auto-embedding again.
Seems to display in the "preview," let's see if it actually displays when posted...
The video posting limit was raised from 1 to 5 as an improvement. The image posting limit was raised from 4 to 8 now as an improvement. The bot is copying threads from the other site once an hour. The rep list is planned on going back up. I'm not debating anything. I'm reporting. If you have any suggestions for improvement post them here or PM me and I will relay them. I would ask you all to please post within reason and be patient. Falena Site Moderator
In generally unusual, but the quality of the embedded video is better than in old version of the forum. By and large, not bad.
