OK, how does one get past the overwhelming pop ups and ceaseless 'refresh' actions on You Tube...It would be nice if it was possible to watch a music video all the way through without all that crap screwing with one... There has to be a way...I have an i5 processor and 8GB of RAM...
Windows is a bit troublesome because it acts as a YesCard: all your ports are opened and ready for use. A quick fix is to delete file sys32
Use firefox as your browser and download addblocker. Its free, and I haven't had to deal with any pop ups, youtube adds, or anything in MONTHS! It does kind of mess with Vevo, so you have to disable it if you want to watch shows on that site.
What I want to know is, how to stop it from blacking out on me. One minute the video is there, I go check out the links on the bottom and then next thing I know the video is all black.
Paris gives a good answer, I agree. I'd like to also mention, (which is unlikely in your case Kranes, since you didn't mention it), sometimes it is possible to experience freezing or other graphics issues after updating your cards driver. If this happens, "roll" it back. Essentially reverting it to the previous driver. You may try to update later, and perhaps the bug will be repaired.
You should have a browser that only showed the html code of each YT video channel and extract the videoclip code from it and then play the video embedded (iframe?)
That was before google bought them... I miss the star system videos used to have. Not this like/dislike system too.
