I think the majority would, just like women, probably more so as they have the biggest risk of paying child support thus effecting their future families financial security BUT.. just like women, some would lie about it to try and get a women pregnant to entrap her into his life, same as some women do and of course some religions do not believe in women taking birth control, but if the men of the religion had a say it would be over the counter and anonymous .
The result of shotgun marriages. Though I'm not being literal, as in they were literally forced to marry at gunpoint. I'm talking about a couple who made a mistake by having unprotected sex - and decides to get married "for the kids" due to social pressure and misguided intentions - not realizing what a huge mistake that is. That's about as good a foundation for a marriage as doing "eeny meenie miney moe" and just marrying someone at random. Hell, people put more thought into buying a car than in who to marry or have a kid with.
there are also those that rush to the alter so they can have sex... because they are not allowed until after marriage
Another reason why that religious doctrine is nonsense, and not even based on the Bible to begin with. There are more instances in the Bible of more or less Godly men having multitudes of concubine, than there are of them "waiting till marriage".
We could always attach it to the car keys that way............... Oh! Yes! right! WHAT WAS I THINKING?????
Hope they make it out of the church....... sorry going to log off now before my sense of humour gets me into big big trouble
It does happen now - many people, especially young people high school age or just out of high school, end up getting married just because they got someone pregnant and are under the impression that it's the right thing to do - even if the parents aren't directly pressuring them, they grew up with the idea that this is the expected norm- probably happens more in the more religious areas of the country. This is why so many marriages are doomed from the start.
Do you have statistics or just speculation? I just find it interesting that there are those on this thread who are for premarital sex, against marriage in cases of contraceptive failure, admit to using ineffective contraception themselves (and more worrying are unaware of how ineffective contraceptive interventions such as withdrawal are) and are claiming that women who abort are, well, less than pristine members of society There is an entrenched belief among a subset of males that women should be grateful for their seed and should carry to term any pregnancy that occurs because it is their unique and wonderful and above all superior sperm. The Taliban are a perfect example of this belief system
Both. The individuals who do as you promote above - are abortion's highest demographic, not to mention the highest divorce rates. The idea that "sex is bad unless yer married derp, but if you geet 'er pregnant den you've gert to marry her yerp derp derp" if you sounds more like something the Taliban would promote. Well something the Taliban would promote if they had a few less brain cells. No she can use the morning after pill, or abort her embryo all she wants - just not the fetus. It's purely about the biological fact that a fetus is a human life. Something which abortionists can deny, but cannot change.
You can stop having an opinion on same sex marriage because you won't ever be with another man, according to your logic. You didn't answer my question anyway.
So how many men have you seen put on a condom in person? How do you know what they wouldn't and wouldn't do? Are you going by what you see on TV?
Men would forget to take a pill. They forget where the car keys are frequently, how would they remember to take a pill?
How many men have you known who forget their car keys? Men are more left-brained than women, so memorization is a more natural skill - so they'd be more likely to remember where their car keys are than a woman would.
Some men would forget to take a pill just like some women do. Some men would remember to take a pill just like some women do. I don't know why there is this vast generalization that all men would forget to take a birth control pill. If any person has had to take medication in their life and at a certain time every day I am sure they can remember to do this. Some people will forget sometimes regardless of gender. This is really a non-issue though since there has yet to be a BC pill made for men. When they make one start looking at the statistics rather than making assumptions about what you think they will or will not do.
Oh! Dear! Still some knowledge deficit in relation to contraception I see http://health.ninemsn.com.au/family...mergency-contraception-the-morning-after-pill So, tell me, should the male bring a "morning after" pill with him just in case?
Makes no sense. Sounds like you don't even know what a morning after pill is. It's for aborting an embryo.
The morning after pill, otherwise known as emergency contraception, works by preventing conception. It is NOT an abortion pill. NOT. RU-486 is an abortion pill which works for the first seven weeks of pregnancy. Get your pills straight.
I think the number of men and women who actually forget to take their pill would be similar. However, the number of women claiming they forget would be far greater cause chicks claim they forgot to play games with a guy.
Does it exist? I already use condoms- a birth control method that isn't permanent and does not cover the part of me that makes me most enjoy sex? I am in 100%.
No and unfortunately may never exist because Big Pharma holds the keys on this one and it is a belief within the industry that putting a male contraceptive on the market would only diminish the female market Personally i think that is rubbish because there are a lot of couples out there that would BOTH use contraception if it made the chance of an unwanted pregnancy lower
