New Yorkers hold a rally to demand electricity gets restored faster

I watched a few videos of these people, which prompted me to find a story to reference. These people are demanding that their power be restored, or that they be told when their power will be back on. Having been through a hurricane before, these people just look like whiny children to me. This is just what happens when hurricanes (or any other disasters) hit. It takes a while to get utilities back. You just find a way to get by without them. That is the adult thing to do - deal with or fix the problems, don't whine about them.

 

WOW! 13 days without power, where's FEMA they promised 400 generators.

 

(*)(*)(*)(*) greedy yankees, why don't they burn their furniture for heat? Why do they live in flood prone areas? Why should the rest of us bail them out?

To help obozo win, the liberal TV networks carried Chris Christie's lie that obama was a big help after sandy hit. Now that the truth comes out, that obama has done nothing, the same networks are silent.

 

Uh, there is a difference between people not having electricity, and Katrina's two weeks later where people where sitting on rooftops or 30,000 people were without water in the amphitheater.

 

They gave a nod of approval at the polls. Obviously they felt this was being handled in a way they supported. Be patient people.

 

Just imagine what they're going to do when they have to wait 60+ days for a doctors appointment in 2014.

 

So let me get this straight. 30-40 degree weather, hit by another storm, snow, the one good weekend we will have in November, and 30-40 degree weather for the rest of the week. And they sound like whiners to you, instead of people trying to get ready for the rest of the week.

 

they are out there, but this is bigger then just putting 400 Generators out there, it's gonna take time, they got power companies from all over assisting, it's just (man hours needed - available man hours) can't go any faster then that

they looked like a clean shaven bunch of people not happy that their power wasn't restored yet, without power you have nothing to do (other then maybe volunteer to help) so they are just scheduling this meeting to get a update on progress and to vent a little

FEMA is a .......*shudder*..... federal government agency and we all know how evil the federal government is.
