http://www.voiceofthevoiceless.info...ginia-engaging-in-viewpoint-discrimination-2/ Interesting read at the above link. Now I will concede that they have an agenda and will push to find the results they want much like we've seen militant homosexuals do. But, if one is so sure about homosexuality then one should be confident enough to also prominently display alternative information. The issue here isn't about which way you believe, it's that these centers by their charter are supposed to have all information, not just to push one agenda excerpt The LGBTQ Resource Centers in violation include the University of Virginia, James Madison University, George Mason University, Virginia Commonwealth University, Old Dominion University, Christopher Newport University, and the College of William and Mary. Today, Liberty Counsel, an international nonprofit litigation, education, and policy organization dedicated to advancing religious freedom, the sanctity of life, and the family, sent letters to all seven university presidents regarding their LGBTQ Resource Centers, urging them to include all viewpoints on this issue, and informing them that presenting only one viewpoint is not only wrong, but can cause harm to students.
What a bunch of horse (*)(*)(*)(*). These organizations were formed to provide a safe place for gay and lesbian individuals to gather and organize. That doesn't include being made targets for others to throw hate at them.
But they are LGBTQ Resource Centers, they are not Religious Resource Centers, so they really do not have to share any religious information if they don't want to. Now if these guys want to start their own on campus Religious Resource Centers and share their religiously based beliefs on 'advancing religious freedom, the sanctity of life, and the family' then they may do so, but they cannot up and make other resource centers which aren't even dedicated to religion at all share that information. It doesn't even make any sense for them to target LGBTQ Resource Centers like this.
correct, they are resource centers. So why wouldn't a resource center provide all information? I'll help you with the spelling A G E N D A
What about NARTH - a secular conversion therapy organization that doesn't involve "praying the gay away" at all?
NARTH pretends it is secular but uses information from religious organizations.......all the time. None scientific.
Do you know if the campus' "Religious Resource Center on advancing religious freedom, the sanctity of life, and the family" provide resources for gay and lesbian students on same sex dating, safe sex, civil unions and leads for religious ministers who would agree to perform marriage (or at least blessings) for gay couples? If not. . .should there be a complaint from the gay students that the religious resource center doesn't provide all information? Could they possibly have an AGENDA?
I do not see how the "voice of the voiceless" are deathly afraid of those who engage in the homosexual lifestyle. Look, there are people who are "anti-smokers" and I wonder if you call them hateful people? So what if there are people who find homosexual sex to be icky, it doesn't mean that those who find it to be icky are bad people.
I'll go slowly, ho.............mo.......sexual............life..........style that is opposed to the heterosexual lifestyle which I live.
translation.... Officer, why did you pull ME over for speeding there were 20 other cars speeding with me.... The question was directed at pro-gays.... if you care to start a new thread about you issue listed.... feel free to do so. Until then, quit trying to throw your typical smokescreen distraction to avoid addressing the concern brought forward on this thread. - - - Updated - - - that ignores all the gays that came back to hetero sexualism. I know you will try to dismiss it as "he wasn't really gay then"
The question was about campus resources not providing ALL the resources, based on their bias. . . Why is a "pro-gay" resource center more criticize for not providing ALL the information than religious resource centers on campus? I am PRO-GAY, although I am and have always been heterosexual. I do not believe that gay people "switch" or are "healed" to adopt a heterosexual life style. . .unless of course they are and have always been bi-sexual. Otherwise. . .they can "pretend," and probably seriously damage their own psyche and do a lot of damage to their "heterosexual" partner. Now, if the only responses you will accept as "pertinent" to this thread are those you agree with. . .it seems that you are falling right into the same pattern as those "religious resource centers" who only provide the resources they approve off! Sorry to disappoint you. . .but my response stands, and if you have a problem with this, report my response to a mod.
