It would be nice if people could just hate thugs in peace. Serious question: if it's not OK to call black people thugs, is it still OK to call other races, such as whites, thugs?

I find it interesting that there was a group called "Thug Life" but all of a sudden Thug is "code" for the N-word??
The painted bird was a cool book, I don't really mind being equated with it. Just because you said it first doesn't mean that you get to own it or anything If you're fine with calling people thugs, that's cool although I don't get how this racist talk about the T-word came up in that case.
I'm going to keep going It seriously blows my mind that after years of black culture doing its best to be equated with thugs, a movement seems to be brewing to make thug into a racial slur. How does something like this happen? Hopefully it's a sign that black subculture is starting to shed its glorification of thuggery.
Since the original thugs were white, maybe it's not surprising other races joined the party. Have you ever thought about that? Perhaps it's all a white problem after all.
All human beings are all thugs until they're educated. At least then they're educated thugs... Back to Stanford, and all Public Colleges for that matter... Do these kids actually get taught anything? How much does a Stanford education cost the average Joe?
First of all the term Racist has been so overused as to almost be a joke. Secondly thugs come in all races, colors and religions but if the term thug is offensive to some then may I suggest the term anushole, real word xxxx out on this site, be used.

Perhaps melanin ratio sensitive people need to come up with their own word that is sanctioned for use whenever someone of a relatively dark skin tone does something non-regulation in such a manner as that reasonable people in general agree is -- um -- less than optimal? How about Angel? "The angelical football player then did this or that in the end zone." Or would it then bother you that there was one word designated as a descriptive -- at your own insistence, mind you -- for one specific minority's rare 'oh so very, very rare' display of behavior that could conceivably be deemed less than stellar in nature? You know something, probably then the howls of certain 'offended' leftwingers would be even louder. So -- and here's the million dollar question -- just what the fork DO you want?
it's not my fault, or the white man's fault, that blacks choose to act the definition of thug. If you don't want to be called a thug, quit acting like one. Just like if you don't want to be called White Trash, you quit acting white trash.... very simple concept, really

I've seen the word "thug" used countless times when discussing union hacks when they get physical with those who disagree with them. "A bunch of union thugs attacked and hurt person x,y,z"
