First I would suggest you actually learn what "Democracy" means and then rephrase the question!

A good start would be, Democracy's Road to Tyranny by Dr. Kuehnelt-Leddihn, a European scholar, linguist, world traveler, and lecturer.

 

And put both together and we call them slaves. Slaves that get to chose their masters.

 

Still a slave mentality, mob rule, loss of freedom. The only thing they vote for is to be in the majority so they can dominate the minority.

What a delusional statement. It is just an attempt to deflect responsibility from where it belongs, to the idiots that voted for them. Not that the losers are that must less responsible. And America did not choose anyone, just the idiots that buy into the program of slavery by choice.

Governments are not always evil...but they are often supposed to be so by people who want licence instead of the governance necessary for a functioning society.

Leaders, you're either delusional or enjoy being a slave. People like me don't need leaders, none at all. We are responsible for our own path through life not a slave to the whims of others.

Occupy movement like all other movements are similar to bowel movements, same results. But even that is a step above having a professional liar seen as some kind of "leader". Leader is sort of like passing gas before taking a dump. Relief is when the air has cleared and the results flushed where it belongs.

Anyway...in order for civilization to survive...leaders are needed. The rugged individuals are seldom rugged...and hardly ever lone wolves...the bleating gives them away.

Every Nation needs a leader. I agree most politicians are exactly what you list. I call our president a leader, because that is what he is.... Even if I didn't vote for him.

It's not my morals that need to be worried about. I'm flexible anyway that way.

It's also what America is.

 

This country is a partnership. Same as if you and another decided to buy lunch together. Your choice not to vote is still a choice, you are responsible for what that choice puts on your table and the bill associated with getting it there.

It is not what America "is", it is what most Americans think it has become, still an oxymoron. There are but a little over 4400 words in the constitution and not one of them is democracy.

I personally think it's a cross between people feeling their vote won't matter, much like my conservative vote in a heavily liberal state, yet I vote no matter what. California's conservatives probably feel the same, as do New York's and Illinois'. Others are just lazy or figure it doesn't matter to them who is in charge or what happens.

IMO, a genuine dislike of the politicians and how they've gamed the system to themselves and the elite in our country.

 

I'm sad to say, the prospect of nations dissolving, & there being no centralized national government, especially in the 1st. World, is a pipe dream, usually for the dim witted, or anarchists.

That is, unless ET pops in for a visit.
