I am sure everyone has, at least, one thing they just cannot stand. For me, there is more than only one thing, but the most despiseful food just has to be chicken liver. Seriously, how can people like this disgusting piece of crap? Only the smell makes me nauseous and putting it on my tongue creates an immediate gag reflex. Another terrible food is omelette (yes, all varieties!) - first few bites are actually quite okay, but very quickly it turns into something monstrously disgusting. Egg in general is a terrible food. Gorgonzola is another bizarre thing people enjoy stuffing their face with. Only the smell of it is enough to make me suicidal. It probably does not taste nearly as bad as it smells, but the smell is enough to give me nightmares for weeks. I am way too scared to try it. I would also like to add pop corn to this list. Not because it is disgusting or anything, but because it tastes absolutely nothing. It is by far the most boring of snacks and one might as well fill a bowl with styrofoam for that "Netflix 'n Chill".
coriander. ANY part of that abomination of a plant. smells and (apparently) tastes like squashed ants. pork (except bacon ). salads as a meal (a cruel and unusual punishment).
Hamburger Helper. But I eat it anyway because anytime my husband cooks supper I appreciate it. The only food I have serious trouble eating is pancakes/waffles. And my daughter's seaweed snacks.
Yeah, I too think pork tastes too much...well...pig. Only type of pork I can say I really enjoy is, of course, bacon and pork chops. But generally I prefer beef and lamb over pork.
A cassorole in a box you mix with water and milk and boil for 15 minutes.. Not sure where you are from, but you guys don't want Hamburger Helper there.
I must say, that there are several things I love now that I hated from child to lets say mid twenties. Bean soup is one. Hated it then...crave it now. Blue Cheese....gagged on it then....again, I crave it now.
I've never had any liver or anything like that. My grandmother used to love liver and onions though. She and my grandfather would eat that once a week. I must admit that it smelled great, but I refused to even taste it. Lol. I don't like asparagus at all. I hate asparagus. I've tried it a bunch of different ways and I just don't like it.
I love chicken livers. Especially baked while basted with butter. With salt and pepper these taste great !!
A small omelet with melted cheese in it and some onions is delicious !! You cannot eat too much of this however -- just a small one.
Popcorn is great with butter and salt on it. A perfect snack while watching a movie (moving picture show) or a game (sporting event).
Garbanzo beans are nasty, yes !!! Ground up they make great humus though, which tastes great with Greek pita bread. God must be Greek and He loves humus and pita bread !!
Sweet pickles are really good chopped up in potato or egg salads. Chopped they are really good on hotdogs and polish sausages too !!
With the right sauce then pork is really good -- such as sweet and sour pork or mushu pork. You just need to know how to cook it. The Chinese are expert at pork recipes.
Yup, when I was a kid there were lots of foods I did not like. But now I love almost anything. Any food is a delight especially when you are hungry. Think of all the poor people who are starving -- they would gladly eat anything.
Sure, your taste buds can mature with age. But some foods just remain gross. If there is one thing I do not like, it is this one line right there; "I like all foods." No, you don't. It is impossible to do. Ah, come on. Don't give us all bad conscience now.
