Cancel the russia "investigation"

I believe republicans should stop entertaining and just end this russia BS altogether. We know this is just a partisan witch hunt the dems cooked up. Why are they even entertaining the dems and going along with this?

Hopefully there are a few Republicans with enough integrity left that they will insist on a conclusive investigation. They are now making the argument the Mueller is the only way to clear Trump's name. LOL! I smell a mutiny!!!

They tried slow walking it these last few months.

And Devin Nunes made a fool out of himself and destroyed his credibility by participating in a White House orchestrated stunt to try and divert attention from the issue.

But a special prosecutor still got appointed, because the stench is pretty strong.

It won't really matter of the GOP Congress continues to try and ignore this. It will only be a matter of time before we hear from the one (nor possibily two) grand juries investigating this, and from the special prosecutor.

I suspect that this call by the RNC Chairwoman is a belated effort. GOP leaders did NOT step up to defend or embrace Trump's idiotic bluster on Friday. Having realized that, they sent the chairperson out to make an announcement.

I doubt that you will hear from her again on the subject.

GOP leaders are realizing that the Faustian bargain that they made when they sold the party's soul to a clownish, crooked schmuck was not a good one.

Couple things here---First is-The Democrats don't control the House or the Senate,so how can you say the "Democrats cooked up a partisan witch hunt" as the House & the Senate have bi-partisan investigations going on! Along with CIA & FBI investigations that are not partisan---
Second-It has been confirmed that the Russians did interfere with our 2016 election,in more ways than one-I am taking it by your statement here that that doesn't matter to you--Well, it matters to me,I will not set down & shut up---To me,there is nothing more important than a "free & fair" election & all sides play according to our election laws--
There is reason for concern & I will be one of the people that continue to push it to it's conclusion---

Trump needs to nudge Ryan and McConnell to get some things done while ignoring the dems, get rid of the legislative filibuster in the senate too.

 

So you think that it's ok for the Russians to try to influence our elections, and you wouldn't complain if, in the future, another country does the same in favor of Democrats?

And you are also Ok, if some Democrat President in the future hires somebody who is on the payroll of a foreign adversary, and keeps them receiving classified information 2 weeks after you know they are working for their government?

You are not only fully in agreement with Democrats doing that sometime in the future. You would be fine if, despite indications, nobody even investigated it. Right?

Compared to the magnitude of what Trump is under investigation for, the scope of Hillary's investigations was limited to allegations of RELATIVELY minor infringements. . . . Unfounded partisan accusations WERE investigated, but dropped.

There is a lot of suspicion surrounding this investigation concerning the resistance against it.

 

I don't think that the dems cooked up anything. Trump's cronies and family members are involved in Russia in some way, and if
Trump had released his tax returns, as he said he would instead of stonewalling, maybe this would not be an issue.

 

You know, for what its worth, I don't think Trump intentionally did anything bad with the Russians.

But Christ, you gotta question competence of the guy who has so irretrievably fcuked his responses up that it has turned into this. He wasn't even under investigation by Comey! Why didn't he just shut the hell up and let the process conclude?

You, as an American first and a republican second, should not put up with any lies, be they repubs or dems. I am a repub, but Trump
is not my kind of leader. He simply is not much of a leader.

 

Not one single member of the GOP during the Comey hearing questioned Comey's legitimacy, integrity or honesty. Trump supporters need to relax. If there's nothing to hide - then the investigation will be all dead ends, won't last very long and the GOP will be complicated vindicated, while Democrats will look terrible just as we go into the midterm elections.

We know the Russians attempted to influence our election via hacking. We know of two men from the Trump campaign that directly had business ties with Russia - Manafort & Carter Paige, and we know of two other members of the Trump campaign (and subsequently the Trump Administration) that withheld information about their contacts with Russians - Flynn & Sessions. Furthermore, there is that Steele Dossier, while definitely unsubstantiated, was seemingly shocking enough to warrant briefings for then President Obama, and then President-Elect Trump.

There is smoke here and serious people are going to investigate. If you believe there was no wrongdoing, then you should not fear this investigation. Elected representatives of both parties have agreed for the need of an independent special counsel... this is not a witch hunt.

 

We know nothing of the kind.
