There seem to be a lot of these SOC units these days in the Army, Navy, and USMC. Unless the Russians or the N.Koreans start something big, the regular units (battalions and regiments/divisions) of the Army and USMC won't have much work to do in the meantime. And if the Russians do start something they will probably kick our azz. And if the N.Koreans start something then we will kick theirs.
'right wing Republican, gay allied straight' Never heard of this animal before. Is it similar to a 'log cabin' republican who never walked into a log cabin before?
The woman is a Canadian, and ever since I met this lady at her father's house, and asked the fatal question "Is being the Premier of British Columbia a paying job?", I've been walking on eggshells. So no comment My favorite amendment who naturally be the 4th. It's the sole basis of my personal liberty. Liberal Forum I've been actively involved with the LCR since I was 18. When the GOP retook the House in 2010 I believe there were about a dozen vocal gay allies in the 76 newly elected Congressmen.
To clarify I was not with 2d MSOB(what it used to be called), but it's a memorial to my former team chief who recently died.
I figured that since you are "Old Man" Fred. MARSOF wasn't formed until 2006. My avatar is also a memorial or recognizing one of my buddies in the Nam who was a Marine tunnel rat. You see a rat, a Marine Corps emblem on his chest holding a .45 M-1911 A1 pistol. I was a 0849 not a 0311 and was to big at 6' and 170 lbs back in the day to be a tunnel rat.
The "Old Man" Fred sn is a throw back to grandpa. He went bald at 18, and during the Big One he was in the Naval Civilian Construction Corps, made semi famous when he shouted at all his buddies "we can't let those babies have all the fun" while grabbing his carbine and proceeding to massacre half a dozen Japanese soldiers on the airfields of Iwo Jima. Most kids my age had parents born when my dad was graduating with his Masters, and I genuinely understood what my grandpa went through when I got to Anglico after 5 years with the engineers. I was a corporal at the time, and no **** had a sergeant walk up to me and ask if I knew how to roll sleeves(a practice the Corps had ended a few years earlier, but was returning to), hoping I would show him how. Although not as bad as right before I got out, when I got called to our conference room and sat through a WO pitch to find out that I was the only individual at our unit below an E7 with the TIS to qualify for the WO program.
A few of my fellow OCS buddies went totally bald too. This was an odd biophysical reaction to extreme stress. They lost their eyebrows too.
How many vets have gone prematurely grey compared to their peers who never served ? And all of those bumps and bangs and loud noises your body experienced while serving in the military will come back to haunt you twenty, thirty or forty years later in your life. About ten years ago I was diagnosed with Tinnitus. The cause was traced back 35 years before while serving in the Marine Corps. How many other vets today have tinnitus. If you don't it's very likely you will.
I'm not a native American Indian but lived on the "rez" for a few years. I picked the username back in 1996 back when C-SPAN use to have a community forum. I discovered that liberals would listen to someone if they believed you were a native American. By 2003 most thought I, APACHERAT was an Army AH-64 Apache attack helicopter pilot. Which I wasn't. So I adopted my avatar recognizing and honoring Marine tunnel rats during the Vietnam War. It even honors Army tunnel rats. I've also used these avatars before the rat avatar.
Well we are likely to agree on a few issues at least as I live in the log cabin myself. I take my allies wherever I find them. I used to be a member of liberal forum. Perhaps I know you under a different name? Mine is always the same on all my forums.
Have fun. This forum seems to have had a stroke some time ago and is now unfortunately rather retarded.
Gray is not bad. At least then they still have hair. When all their hair falls out in their 20's then they look like Mr. Clean from the TV commercials.
Likely both. I remember all cannon cockers were complaining about their hearing while still on active duty. When I was diagnose with tinnitus the doctor asked some questions' Are you a vet ?...Yes What branch of service ? ...Marines When did you serve ?...69 to 71 What kind of rifles were you issued ? ...M-14 and the M-16. Did you serve in Vietnam ?...Yes Then the kicker Remember when you were on the rifle range and they gave you a couple of cotton balls to use as ear plugs ? ...Yes. Using cotton for ear plugs are useless.
My first ever forum on AOL was called Great commanders. A heck of a bunch of nice posters were there.
Newsvine is gone on Oct1 and I fear that NewsTalkers is following in its footsteps. I hope not though.
It means that you're straight, but are cool with the gays. What can I say, they throw some pretty awesome parties.
