In eight weeks, the voters will go to the polls to vote for the Senator and Representative of their choice.

Here’s the way I see the two parties records – this is my point of view and is not meant as a troll.

With the Republican Party, the choice is clearly Trump all of the way: All Americans are welcome, American born, legal immigrants are welcome; brown, black, white and yellow and all of the mixtured Americans are welcome; all American ethnics are welcome; poor, rich, middle class, men and woman Americans are welcome; all American businesses are welcome; all others, to the back of the line please. Did I mention low taxes and good paying jobs for everyone?

With the Democrats, the choice isn’t so clear; Anti-Trumpers welcome; illegal aliens welcome; LGBQT welcome; government unionists welcome; Hollywood Hedonists welcome; socialists and anarchists welcome. All others to the back of the line. Did I mention more taxes and a terrible economy just like we had under the Obama regime?

I might be narrow minded in how I see the two parties and their policies – what do you think?

I see we have replies from two Democrats looking to enhance the parties attraction to the outre crowd - they're right - I forgot sanctuary cities and states - the homeless, feces covered sidewalks and the minimum wage - and criminal sanctions for using plastic straws.

Come on guys - are you serious?

It was described to me - in boiled down terminology - that the right sees top down as best and the left, bottom up.

Both parties only offer more statism. Neither of them offer freedom and liberty.

It was described to me in the same way........50 years ago! However, today it's different - all one has to do is look at the actions of the parties and the results of those actions.

In my opinion, the Republicans are now the party that best represents the interests of ALL working Americans and their families while the Democrats best represent the interests of illegal aliens, bums, drug addicts, criminals, government unions, LGBQT, Hollywood hedonists and foreign corporations.

Please show me where I might be wrong!

I disagree - the Republicans under Trump offer Federalism which has proven to be the most free and viable form of government that has ever existed.

Is this actually serious? Of course, this view is narrow minded and biased. I might throw in bigoted too. All Americans may be welcome in Trump's party but few will attend, especially, women, latinos, young people and minorities.

Another reason Americans won't join the Trump band wagon is because of the second paragraph that has vilified anyone outside the narrow bigoted view of Trump supporters. Supporters that have been captured by hatred of anyone not part of their narrow, beliefs. Americans have awoken to Trump and his defeat will be historical.

The Republican Party at least supports securing the border and deported illegal immigrants. Without this we won't have a country in 20 years so I would say this is the most important thing.

On the other hand Democrats hate America and want to punish Americans. They believe that illegal immigrants help America because they are better people than the Americans here and actually lower our crime rate. Their candidates run on things like providing Healthcare to anyone and everyone from anywhere paid for by the American people. Then they turn around and lie and say they are for border security and against illegal immigration.

Are you? the republican party haven't done shyt for a long long time. Now, if you think Trump is doing something, that is fine. But the republican party is run by a bunch of @$$clowns who is doing nothing but obstructing themselves from getting things done. Both party.....sucks.

It is very difficult - if not impossible - to demonstrate how a person's view is 'wrong'. So I won't try. It would be disrespectful. I simply see your view different from mine. I see the left investing in those 'at the bottom'...fighting for their rights and providing services to assist them in getting a leg up. Conversely, I see the right investing in 'the top'....providing tax cuts, eliminating barriers to their success - all in the hopes that their success will 'trickle down'. Sadly, time has proven that little 'trickles down'.

Democrats have open borders, elimination of ICE, protection of illegal criminals. Take away the tax cuts that are bringing back the good jobs along with putting back all the regulations. Gun control. Men in women bathrooms. Tens of thousands of unvetted Muslim refugees. More poor paying and part time jobs. Chasing out industry again with higher taxes.

Obstructing themselves from getting things done? You need to watch more than CNN, MSNBC and ABC. Obviously you haven't a clue what Trump and the Republicans have done.

Eh?? What did they do for 8 years under Bush and the 8 years under Obama?? Getting rid of "Obamacare" without a solution isn't doing anything. Providing a tax cut to corporations at the expense of tax payers isn't doing anything. They can't even agree on funding of "the wall."

Sadly, with Citizens United, the Dems just pay lip service to investing in those "at the bottom", while reaping the donations from those at the top.

What you are really saying, if I understand you, is that in the Republican Party all Americans are welcome except anti trumpers, LGBQT people, government unionists, Hollywood Hedonists, socialists, anarchists. That might add up to more than 1/2 of the American people if one looks at the 2016 election or the polls.

I agree...CU makes a mess of all good intentions. But the list provided by the original poster gives a good start to those who are helped by the left: LGBTQ, drug addicted, criminals, illegal aliens, social assistance recipients. While many would prefer that this part of society be left to their own devices, the left recognizes their rights as well as everyone else's.

Meh - the criminals in Congress collude with each other to ensure no serious issues, like corruption, government overreach, etc., get tackled. We all get 1-2 choices every two years to change Congress. They have a 10% approval rating but 90%+ will get re-elected. I've been on a personal mission to vote out every single incumbent for several years, now.

My vote will go like this:

    - Look for a non R or D -that gets my vote
    - If no option for above, vote against incumbent
    - If no opposition, no vote - I won't support that

I really, really want a none of the above option. I believe that option would win most races, country wide.

    You are 100% correct!

However, the swamp Republicans are on their way out - still fighting to keep their power, but more diminished every day - and the Trump agenda is becoming the Republican platform. The Republicans are becoming the Democrat Party I loved when I was much, much younger.

I said no such thing! What I did allude to is the the Republicans are replacing the Democrats as the party of inclusion since, in my opinion, tghe Democrats are excluding and even attacking ANYONE who does no agree with their agenda.

In my world, the USA is about working Americans and their families and American businesses and the collaberation between the two groups to make the most powerful economic juggernaut the world has ever seen. In my world the two political parties balanced each other with the goal of both parties being the enrichment of all thing American. In my world, the America Dream was the goal to which all people the world over strived to achieve.

In my world, President Trump is fighting to take us back to that world.

I'm not sure about that. It's an "in thing" to claim that one is a "Trump Republican" to get the vote. However once, they are voted in, most in Congress maintain the status quo, party politics. Nothing ever changes in that swamp we call Congress.

Just repeating the old Democratic line. There is a solution to Obama Care. The tax and regulation cuts are what is bringing all those good jobs back. Or did you think they magically come back on their own? Obama lost over 300,000 manufacturing jobs. Over 90% of his jobs were in the service industry and he mixed that with millions of part time jobs. As a matter of fact, 77% of all jobs created in 2013 were part time. Now do you know why these kids are still living with their parents in their 20s? You can't have a war on business and stick them with the highest corporate tax in the world and compound the hurt with record regulations and expect them to stay here. Obama lost so many good jobs and replaced them with bad.

Trump Care, better and cheaper. Watch the video

On Monday, The New York Times reported that Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield announced their intention to leave Iowa's Obamacare exchange next year because they lost $90 million in three years due to most of their enrollees having "expensive medical conditions."

On Friday, it was reported that Anthem Inc. Is poised to leave most of the Obamacare exchanges, as they had lost $374 million last year. This is a significant development because, as Guy Benson pointed out at Townhall:

Thanks to Obamacare's slow-motion implosion, just one single provider remains as a "choice" for consumers who live in roughly one-third of all US counties. In many of those places, Anthem has been that last holdout insurer, which is now reportedly about to end in 2018. Millions of Americans could be left with zero marketplace options, as the planned withdrawal of the last remaining US healthcare giant from most areas marks the latest sign that Obamacare is an unworkable actuarial nightmare.

Anthem and Wellmark will join Humana, Aetna and UnitedHealth as insurers who have fled Obamacare exchanges, reaffirming that the Obamacare death spiral is real and will only worsen from here.
