Which part? You forgot to say. Whoever told you that is granite was lying. Whoever told you they were carved 10,000 years ago was lying.
Which is not evidence of anything. People who are experts say they are just stones cut and carved about 1500 years ago. And there are a lot more than one of them. So if testimony of the experts will decide this, then we can declare victory by mercy rule.
We try to date much of this. With some accuracy. However even some of the sandstone ones are impossible. A new one, Göbekli Tepe is 12,000 years old.
No, you have people who follow the religious rules, and will deny anything, but nobody can explain Puma Punka. and hundreds of others.
Here we have perfect 90 degree cuts, with holes drilled, and you expect me to believe people made these by banging rocks together.
And? So the experts are telling the truth when they date Göbekli Tepe, but lying or incompetent when they date Puma Punku?
No, and neither do archaeologists. And none of us will tell you that the only other alternative is "Aliens!!!"....that is your invention.
Of course, we can explain it fully, many different ways, without deferring to aliens. We just don't know which explanation is accurate.
You are assuming the very things of which the burden lies on you to prove. Credible scientists do not make the claim that the tech to shape sandstone did not exist at the time. Again, your invention.
No, I actually have 2 theories. Either we were an advanced society thousands of years ago, and destroyed ourselves. Or someone came in to help things along. Even another theory I am unaware of, who knows. But the reality is that these things exist, we can see them, touch them, they are real. And they are in thousands of places on earth. Many carry with them, religious explanations.
The stones at Puma Punku... Based upon detailed petrographic and chemical analyses of samples from both individual stones and known quarry sites, it was concluded that these and other red sandstone blocks were transported up a steep incline from a quarry near Lake Titicaca roughly 10 kilometres (6.2 miles) away. Each stone weights around 100-400 metric tonnes. Some stones are estimated to weight up to 1000 tonnes. The Abrams M1 tank is 62 tonnes. These stones are at least 2-3-4 times that. Put four Abramses and carry them. Built when? B.C. A lot of back in time B.C. An Airbus A380-800 weights exactly 390 tons. I'd love to see anyone carry that on his back. Carry it through the jungles, lift it up and place it there. And this, for a total of 600 blocks like these.
Well, nobody can figure it out, using the accepted theory of our ancestors made these things. Mainstream archeology fit into the established religious norms. Even the "monkey trial", ( Scopes trial) was lost in a court of law.
And by the way... Good luck doing that with a chisel: The stone looks flatter than a mirror. Good luck doing that in the B.C.
Ancient Aliens and shows like it winnow away at actual scientific understanding by promoting absolute dreck.
Advanced enough...to shape sandstone? After 90,000 years of modern humans walking the earth? And then we discovered this ability again just a couple thousand years later? That doesn't really blow me away. False. The heaviest stone is about 130 tons. And we can easily propose several methods of moving them that required no advanced technology whatsoever. False. Most of the blocks are much, much lighter than the heaviest block. Whoever told you that is lying.
You don't need a chisel to shape sandstone or limestone. You only need a harder rock...which describes just about every rock besides sandstone and limestone. People thousands of years ago had a concept of "flat", and plenty of time and slave labor to spend making stuff flat. Their "art" looks like doodles on a desk in detention, compared to modern art.
So? That doesn't lend any truth to the idea that advanced tech or aliens were involved. We have several plausible explanations that involve neither of these things. We just dont know which one is correct.
I'll send you $5,000 if you can make me such a flat stone surface with any stone age / medieval instrument.
No you won't, because I can, and so can anyone else. Sandstone can be shaped by rubbing it with a piece of wood, given enough time.. "Such a flat surface" How flat? VERY flat, based on a picture you saw on the internet? Wow!
How flat? And how do you propose it was "made so very flat" by a chisel, anyway? You're not making coherent points.
