And the treasury won't be filled with tariff money. I guess that's what the man in your AM radio is telling you. But you will get higher prices for a lot of the things you buy, and there will be less work. In a world market, the market cuts out the high priced product, expecially when the price is driven by an artificial tax on the consumer.

The US hasn't hit 5% growth in decades, and has yet to even hit 4% growth in the Trump era.

You are now trying to pretend that you weren't one of the suckers who fell for the con that Trump was going to deliver you a tax cut in 10 days, when Congress isn't even in session, and there is no bill to pass (much less any way to pay for it).

Americans will keep buying tariffed goods, because prices are higher in markets that are surrouned by tariffs. When you artificially raise the price of imported products, domestic suppliers raise their prices to match the market. And consumers pay more. This has been true of every economy in the world where politicians were short sighted or parochial enough to isolate themselves from the world economy as Trump is trying to do.

So you will pay more. And you're apparently proud of that.

And you're foolish enough to believe that your tax cuts will offset the higher prices. Since most people didn't get enough of a tax cut to buy dinner at Applebees, there isn't much reason to believe your claim.

Proclaiming and celebrating the fact that you volunteered to pay more and cheer for it is the most bizarre of right wing rationalizations.
