    I've noticed that are a few here who go beyond radical when talking about Islam. But I do stand for free speech.

    Perhaps this is the main reason the Left sticks up for Muslim's so much. Pedophilia is about the only sexual deviancy they haven't normalized yet.

    I know its hard to stay on topic but the thread topic is about a woman convicted of a crime for calling Muhammad a pedophile while utlizing her rights of free speech. You find a case where a person is convicted of calling Jesus a pedophile then your deflection makes sense. As it stands just another boring leftist deflection

    Two things stand out in that article: That sex or marriage with minors is an ancient custom of the Arabs, and that, "child marriage is against Islam as the Qur'an is clear that intellectual maturity is the basis for deciding age of marriage, and not puberty, as suggested by these clerics."

    So, condemning the religion for practices that predate the religion seems out of place. I also thought it was ironic that the main idea of the article was that it's hypocritical for Muslims to condemn the lack of morality in the West's hyper-sexualized society without looking to their own questionable morality.

    Im only interested in mohammads proven pedophilia in how it relates to the OP. It makes the courts decision even more ridiculous. To uphold a conviction against this woman utilizing her freedom of speech for saying something thats true is even more stupid on their part

    The forum is free to set whatever rules it chooses, so that's a non-issue. However, hate speech falls under protected speech in the first amendment in the US. I have to ask you what you consider hate speech so I can understand where you're coming from on this.

    It seems you can't differentiate between opinion and fact. Expressing one's opinion as you are doing is not stating fact, likewise my stating my opinion in rebuttal is not lying.

    Fact is that unless you can actually prove your point about Islam condoning child rape and identifying those muslim "institutions" that endorsed and encourage it, then all you are doing is expressing your rather bitter and bigoted opinion.

    But feel free to think of yourself above the fray and a fount of truthiness.

    Not sure what you're actually saying here. These boards have rules which you have to agree to when you sign up. The board moderators have the right to remove posts and remove posters as they see fit. Laws in other countries are different, but since I'm not in those countries, it doesn't affect my free speech rights.

    From your source-- "The most recent Supreme Court case on the issue was in 2017, when the justices unanimously reaffirmed that there is effectively no "hate speech" exception to the free speech rights protected by the First Amendment."
    What part have I misread?

    Name calling usually comes when there is no better argument. I see no reason to resort to that when all I did was ask how you define hate speech. Why are you so offended by my question?
