Well the West has gotten so successful that it thinks it can ignore reality. Eventually that won't work.
In the animal kingdom, it's not needed. I think men just need to make peace with their invetible and 100% natural celibacy. This insistence that it's something terrible which must be 'fixed' is what leads to rape cultures.
I do not think we live in a rape culture. Legalization of sex work is not " needed" but it would be of great benefit to most men. Any sane man would vote for candidates representing his interests. Most men are guided by unearned guilt more then by self interest. PS. I was referring to Western men. They are constantly fed the media diet that they are Privileged Oppressors and their interests are evil and dirty. I am originally from Russia.
Yes. But my point was mostly about legalization of sex work and the political position any sane man would take -- vote for candidates who support legalization vs. those supporting prohibition.
People should have the right to bodily autonomy. If they want to charge another for sex — as long as there is no coercion — it should be entirely their choice. If someone wants to pay another for sex, it should be entirely their choice.
Okay, then a culture which negatively brands those who exist in the natural condition of male mammalhood. Demonising lack of sex (whether voluntary or involuntary) is the problem, not the lack of sex.
Most westerners think they have some sort of fundamental right to sex. They get angry and upset when it doesn't happen.
Do you think it's reasonable to be celibate for the majority of life? Or would you personally find it problematic beyond just the animal urge level?
I cannot imagine that and it is beyond my experience so I can only say it would be unreasonable to me.
My ex lied about her sex drive and I ended up married to ice cube. So I decided to make the best of it and live without sex. I figured I could just focus on my work. After ten years I had lost the will to live and tried to commit suicide. At that point I told my ex I wanted a divorce and got laid. In a weekend I was a completely new man. Going without sex was literally killing me. It was very slow and insidious, but eventually it was devastating. The worst of it was that I didn't understand what was happening until much later. It took a better part of a year before I understood what had happened. Some of us, perhaps most, NEED a healthy sex life to be happy and healthy. And psychologists also put a healthy sex life at the top of the list of basic needs for a happy life. I will almost certainly never marry again because I don't want to put my incredible sex life at risk. It isn't worth it. It is no mystery to me why men commit suicide at 4 to 10 times the rate of women. And it is no mystery as to why middle age men are the most likely to commit suicide.
Thank you for sharing. Definitely, legalization of sex work would be beneficial to many people, mostly men.
I made a bee line to Reno, where prostitution is legal. But sugar relationships are legal [as long as you are smart about it]. Also, I've had some great relationships!!! It isn't all about sex. I've been a sugar daddy for almost seven years. A great sugar relationship can be very rewarding. I've loved three of the women I've seen snd it has been an AMAZING seven years. I loved my first SB more than I've ever loved anything or anyone on this earth. And she grew to love me as well. I consider those three years to be the pinnacle of my life; at least so far. Today, there are four sugar babies for every sugar daddy.
There you go. You 'shouldn't' feel it's unreasonable, because it's actually the natural state for male mammals.
Of course. Just as we have an 'interest' in being billionaires. The key is not feeling as though something is 'wrong' when we don't have billions.
In most of the World, sex work is legal. Many women are willing to engage in sex work for $500 -- $700 per hour. Only in few nations does The State act as a gatekeeper to consensual relationships.
I don't know why anyone would want to see prostitutes when they could have a sugar baby. I guess some guys really only want the sex. My first SB used to call it a "no hair in the sink relationship". I call it a perpetual third date. Plus, the sex is so much better when you get to know and care about someone.
If what you claim is accurate, Mammals would be inbred to extinction and Humans would not exists. I wonder how you think your parents and their friends created children?
Are you not aware that in social mammals, the majority of males don't end up getting laid? The pack heirarchy means that usually only the alpha (and sometimes the beta) males get all the action. It's a fundamental, and clearly hasn't led to extinction. I'm surprised you're not aware of this, if indeed you are not.
