In my opinion this is the most logical and sensible assessment of the Muller Hearing that I have heard or read so far.

The Dems were willing to do just about anything to attempt to derail the Donald Trump administration. Theatrics and drama is their specialty.

Devin Nunes is the most embarrassing of Trump lickspittles.

He is on Fox all the time, and almost nowhere else.

He’s a joke in DC, and justifiably so.

 

"Lickspittle" man that takes me back! Yet despite Schiff's "counter memo" everyone Nunes outed as a crooked cop is out of a job, and under criminal investigation. Comey, McCabe, Ohr, Strzok ... and Nunes keeps issuing criminal referrals. Mueller "won't go into" Mifsud's employment history, and Nunes knows why. Nunes has suspected, and probably at this point knows, that Halper is behind Mifsud's outreach to Papadopoulos. Halper & Azur Turk were pumping Papadopoulos for information on conversations with Mifsud that they had no way of knowing took place ... long before Downer "stepped forward". Nunes is a bloodhound, and now he has an ally. Nunes really ought to consider running for POTUS in 2024. ::

 

None of those people are “crooked cops” and they are all out of the FBI because Trump purged everyone involved in the investigation, often in a the particularly small minded and petty way that Trump is known for.

Mueller did not discuss Mufsud’s employment history because it is not discussed in the Mueller Report;.

Nor is any of this other nonsense. Stephen Harper did not “pump” this idiot Papadopolous. And, Harper did not report the incident until news broke that the DNC servers had been hacked.

This is what happens with a corrupt and amoral man like Trump, and an amateurish, mismanaged campaign.

Papadopolous is a wannabe. A bag man. He was hired by Sam Clovis, a right wing talk radio host, that Trump used to recruit people to the campaign. When the press started talking about how there were no foreign policy people in the Trump campaign, or that he had any coherent foreign policy positions (some things have not changed), they quickly picked up the most promising resumes they could find. That’s how Page and Papadopolous became “Senior Foreign Policy Advisors”.

And that IS in the Mueller Report.

I doubt that there will be Barr time. There will be a lot of noise, and some actions may be taken. But I doubt anything will come of them. They’ll be used as campaign counter narratives and disappear after the election.

It should have been but how could it... They built the entire case on ties with Mifsud the Russian asset when in fact he was an FBI asset charged with deliberately setting up and entrapping Trump campaign members. That would not look good in the Weissman report or Mueller testimony, would it, that would look like a blatant attempt to spy on Trump campaign, a gross prosecutorial misconduct a fishing expedition that it was. Wouldn't it?

So is hiding exculpatory evidence and removing it from quotes, lying on FISA applications etc btw.

I taught English in Quito, Ecuador for over a year. I returned home to Nova Scotia, Canada determined to become more politically active. Seeing real poverty with our own eyes will tend to have that effect on us.

They are under investigation not for their nefarious deeds which are non-existent, but because the autocrat wannabe Trump is vindictive. Nunes is a Trump lapdog, the same squirrel who slithered over to the Whitehouse at 1:00 am to fill Trump in about the Congress and its activities as pertaining to Trump. I didn't hear anybody call Trump a Russian agent, except for your "fake" criticism. They did, however, rightfully point out that Trump encouraged Russia to interfere and help him win, which is obstruction. Call it whatever you can invent.

Any day now happened a couple of months ago, and was confirmed on live TV last week.

The Trump campaign DID enthusiastically welcome outreach from Russian intelligence and did coordinate their efforts with the Russian dump of stolen DNC documents that they fed to Wikileaks.

There isn’t any doubt about any of this. None of it is even being disputed anymore. The collection of denial, rationalizations, excuses, and whataboutism that the Trumpster media has served up has all disappeared. Replaced by baseless assertions that the uncontested facts are a “hoax” claim from the world’s most famous liar.

 

I don’t know about Tredeau, but I have no idea where you get the illusion that Trump is even “attempting to break the average American out of their chains to compound interest”

Trump is basically letting Wall Street run his Treasury department for their benefit, engineering a large tax cut for the wealthy paid for 100% with borrowed taxpayer financed debt. At the same time he has doubled the budget deficit and is heading straight for a record trillion dollar deficit, for the first time in relative peacetime and in the midst of prosperity. Of all the times when nations do not need to be borrowing record amounts of money, Trump is doing just that.

As for the Malthusian part, that message is echoed in modern American conservatism. The idea of the zero sum gain has taken hold as an underlying assumption in right wing thought. This is a concept not seen before in the US, where people were convinced that the sky is the limit,.

This is a startling narrative to take hold in a country like this. It suggests a nation listing confidence in itself. As does much of Trumpism; the race baiting, parochial chauvinism, isolationism, and the ongoing appeals to fear and ignorance.

 

I spend a precious hour on M-F 6 PM Eastern going off on Judy Woodruff for her suppressing the truth. Name any major source that does not attack Trump daily and keeps pretending he sold out to the Russians.

Nunes is a good man. Where he came from in CA, that is not Democrats city land. They can't suppress facts there as they do in the cities of CA.

If you notice, there was not a drop from a sweat gland of evidence produced up to right now, proving the Russian Government was involved. Even the indictments were of common russians rather than government.

For all the yelling that Russia worked for Trump, why is it that there is never a speck of evidence showing that ever happened?

Why no blame to Obama if his administration allowed all of this? No Democrat is willing to discuss this up to right now.

Folks it is admitted that Hillary got her help from Fusion Well ahead of the election. Why silence on what Fusion did?

 

Obama allowing all of what? Trump has stated that he believes Putin that Russia did not interfere instead of our own intelligence agencies. He has done and said nothing about their interference nor has he supported any action to preclude this from happening
again, which leads me to believe that he is tacitly encouraging it. Apparently, Russia did work to have Trump elected and are still at it.
In allowing this to happen, Trump doesn't give a rats ass about our country and is essentially in bed with a thug.
