Have they done so legally? If so how do you suggest to keep him from an automatic firearm and not impede the 2A rights of others? I would have to pay a tax to the federal government before I could purchase an assault weapon. Will the tax payment be the red flag?
The individual responsible for the Norway massacre did not have legal access to an AR-15, or other similar firearms. Instead he killed sixty nine individuals with what his own government legally classified as a hunting rifle.
I don't know what weapon the Norway massacre killer used and what difference does it make? It should be obvious assault weapons like the AR-15 and SKS with high capacity magazines allow a person to kill quickly and that's why they were used in the recent mass shootings. The US isn't Norway, but at this rate I expect the US to bring back an assault rifle ban, I expect universal background checks to apply to gun shows and accessories like high capacity magazines to be banned. I don't expect normal American citizens to side with NRA gun nuts while their fellow citizens are being slaughtered.
The semi-automatic AR-15 rifle was marketed as a civilian sporting rifle long before the united states military was forced to adopt the M16 rifle.
The individual responsible for the Norway massacre managed to kill sixty nine individuals with what his own government classified as being a hunting rifle. Stephen Paddock, by comparison managed to kill only fifty individuals, while needing multiple semi-automatic rifles just to accomplish that much. And yet such is the case after every mass shooting. Within one or two weeks at the most, the public fervor has died down, the news media has moved onto other stories, and the public goes on with their daily routines. If new firearm-related restrictions did not come into place after Sandy Hook, they will certainly not come into place now, outside of the actions of a few cities that already have significant firearm-related restrictions and who are merely capitalizing on murder for their own benefit.
Assault weapons are light machine guns. A semi automatic does not qualify as a machine gun. Thus, by definition, it is not an assault weapon.
This AR-15 rifle is chambered for the 9mm handgun cartridge. https://www.cbcindustries.com/products/ar-15-9mm-complete-cbc-industries-rifle-16-non-lock-back/ Does such mean it is not a military rifle, or a so-called "assault weapon" due to the caliber that it utilizes?
Criminals with a propensity for violence should be banned from any item they might use for violence as the citizen should be free to exercise his rights without the criminal’s act impacting those rights.
Ithink of the AR-15 as an obama voter adjustment tool When civil order breaks down, the police are on strike, and radical democrats are roaming the streets to rape, loot or just kill because they are crazy, nothing will protect honest citizens better than the AR-15 And thats why its been the best selling firearm in America for 10 years
Making guns illegal will be great for smugglers bringing them across our southern border to sell to gangs. How about someone starts a website where people can sign up to be part of the malita of America. Sworn to uphold the constitution. The owner of the website then sends out membership cards. That would take away the lefts lie that the 2nd ammendment is for the malita only. They come to take your gun you can prove you're part of the malita.
The AR-15 is similar to the M4 and M6 that the military uses. The AR-15 is not Mil-Spec. The AR-15 is not durable enough to endure continuous firing. This why the Las Vegas shooter had a plethora of AR-15s loaded and ready, because after firing a bunch of rounds the barrel would heat up and warp.....failure.
M1A is a better improvement as it is an M1 Garand with a box magazine using the .308 instead of the 30-06. You can modify the M1 Garand to full auto, but why comes to mind. I have several M1 Garand's, and they are work of art. M1A, AR-15, etc all seem to be made by the "Matell" toy company. You should with your friend and shoot targets at 200-300 yards out....you won't be disappointed.
Does anyone seriously go deer hunting or wild turkey, or whatever with an AR15? Is it a personal defense weapon? Please Reply. It the old days, did right to bare arms include cannon and such artillery?
I hunt deer with a AR-10 (think AR-15 but a bigger cartridge). Turkey hunting is usually done with shotguns or bows, and may be illegal to hunt with a rifle in some states. "Is it a personal defense weapon?" Yes, but I prefer pistols for defense. An AR-15 can be used, but frangible ammo is best to avoid over penetration. "did right to bare arms include cannon and such artillery?" Yes, private citizens were allowed to own cannons, and many did. You can own a muzzle-loading cannon today, they are not regulated by the NFA.
small hypersonic bullets (in my opinion) are terrible for hunting as the hydrostatic shock will ruin the meat by turning it into "blood pudding".
For a quick kill so andrelon isn't released into the meat giving the meat a gamey taste you go for a spinal cord shot just below the deer's brain housing group or a heart shot. The best cut of meat on a deer is the backstrap and getting a spinal cord hit, the shockwave caused by the bullet will ruin the neat. So you go for a heart shot.
US military used to use the 30 caliber bullet, but the .223 is superior in wounding, which is more preferable to killing as a wounded soldier will need 2-3 other combatants to help that wounded soldier. So in effect a single gun shot will take 3-4 troops off the battle field. And, the .223 will make awful wounds as it will ricochet off bone and keep on shredding the body.
