I don't mind at all the government fining people that hire illegals but that won't stop them from coming here.

You have to do more. You have to control the border you have to enforce immigration laws when an illegal alien enters the system. You have to forbid them from using social programs.

All of those things combined will work much better it might even encourage them to come back legally and even become American citizens.

 

I certainly hope you are against sanctuary cities and would support measures to sanction cities that do. There is a criminal investigation, ICE is determining first if and how many are illegal, second did the company know, did they have false identifications that worked or who ever was making the hiring decision knew they were illegal and still hired them. If so who made that decision and who else may be culpable. People can go to jail.

And we're going to have to raid the others else the US Government is interfering in competition.
IF there are crimes and it looks likely then put these managers on probation for a year and announce a moratorium on shut raids for a year. IOW business get your houses in order. The goal should be to put all those businesses out of business which will do even more harm to these depressed areas. AND GET ON WITH IMMIGRATION REFORM!!!! And WELFARE REFORM. These jobs will be becoming available if your able bodied then you get one. A little Gingrich/Kasich old fashion welfare reform.

They CAN'T FILL JOBS. And that is from unskilled as in a poultry plant up to the auto plants. I call on all of them. It's too easy not to work even when you can. And the visa workers are better workers. I've have had maintenance managers tell me that out right. The LEGAL visa and immigrant workers are there every day on time willing to learn any job and do and do it right and give a good days work. You know what we are supposed to do in our jobs. The low skilled locals, don't want to work, complain, cause problems and then just stop showing up. It's improving as wages are going up which is typical.

I'm all for LEGAL immigration for immigrants who bring skills and are able to support themselves and extend the visa time limits so they have to return, they make good members of society for 5 years then a green card, five more then apply for citizenship. We control that on an as needed basis, if we don't need farm workers we don't let that skill in but if we need people who can repair electrical panels welcome to America. A country has a right to control it's borders and who can immigrate into it.

Then perhaps the right should quit demonizing these workers as "stealing jobs" willing to work for "lower wages." That kind of rhetoric just don't hunt when, like you say, there are citizens who AREN'T WILLING TO WORK.
