I think the medal of freedom was a good gesture on two accounts. 1) Agree with his views or not, he's considered a revolutionary in conservative radio media outlets. We talk this big game about the first amendment and the right to freely express non-violent views, well Limbaugh is the exemplar of that, even if some may or may not like his personal example. 2)The dude has a terminal illness. I mean, I'm not the pity party kind of guy, but I do think great sendoffs are a good thing.
it does not pay to be cheap, if you're a multi millionaire. those helicopters were hand me downs from mexico to los angeles, and piloted by illegal immigrants.
Entertainer to you, perhaps. But he has one of the most storied careers in the league, and many of followed him from the time he was 17 until his death.
Who cares about proof of guilt anymore? Especially someone calling Trump's base a "cult mentality". More people than not, had zero care about Kobe Bryant. He has his fanbase and the feelz stop after that. Those that admired him are mourning his death, those that didn't admire him are not mourning his death. He's just another human, equal to all the rest that died and weren't personally known or admired.
What's this? Is this a denial of the historical existence of re-education camps, or a denial of the contemporary existence of them? Wrong on both counts.
NO. There have been MANY who have spoken out using all the means available. Rush has been as vile a creature as imaginable. He has CONSISTENTLY pushed for a far worse America - one that is racist, one that is misogynist, one that is homophobic, one that is anti education, one that is beligerant to all other nations. He has had NO regard for the truth. And, his years of drug adiction and other personal behavior are not to be confused with leadership. The fact that he used radio as a platform is NOT new with him, and does NOT justify ANY kind of award. He is a turd in the punchbowl of those who have contributed to making America a better nation. You can't find any medal of freedom winner who had less of value to contribute. And, dying is NOT a justification for this award. Beyond that this is a thread about Bryant. Rush on race and on basketball: "Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?" "I think it's time to get rid of this whole National Basketball Association. Call it the TBA, the Thug Basketball Association, and stop calling them teams. Call 'em gangs." "The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies." To a black female caller: “Take that bone out of your nose and call me back.” Etc., etc., etc. In NO WAY has Rushbo made America anything but a worse place.
Maybe you should tell that to Don Jones. He was fined and then kicked off of the NFL team he played on until he underwent and completed "educational training". "Miami Dolphins safety Don Jones took to Twitter with inappropriate comments after Michael Sam was drafted by the St. Louis Rams on Saturday. As a result, Jones was fined an undisclosed amount and excused from all team activities, the team announced through a press release Sunday. The Dolphins said Jones cannot return to the team until he "undergoes and completes educational training." His inappropriate comment was................................................"OMG"
As did I. Before his time I was a relatively freuquent occupant of a seat on the first row under the basket in Seattle. Barkley, Karl Malone, Payton, Michael Jordon - the list goes on, and I know how fans get attached to a particular player. I remember a second round playoff game where Jordon was obviously sick, trudging from the court during breaks and throwing up a couple times. Still, when the whistle blew he positively owned the court. I just want to remember that it's entertainment, not equal treatment under the law or improved education or availability of medical attention to all Americans or fair elections or whatever.
Apparently this falls specifically under the rules set up by his team. Kudos for sourcing properly although the team was concerned with the impact and the context in which the tweets were made. One must note that this was not the government issuing these consequences and not even the team just looking for people to toss into re-education camps. In sports there are rules regarding unsportsmanlike behavior that pre date “leftists taking over”.
Recursive post is recursive. Let me know when you have something cogent to say on the topic I was responding to re: social engineering. Do you subscribe to the apologist's attempts to draw some convoluted intersectional racism lines around statical rape discrepancies, as if any mathematical differences in rape instances must be due to institutional oppression?
So you didn't read the post I was responding to. Figures. Well at least you feel like you're contributing. Good for you.
Two movies. https://www.scottadamssays.com/2017/02/12/good-example-of-our-two-movie-reality/ How about you post some audio of each of those quotes? You know the guy's a radio host, right?
