    National polls don't matter.

Trump is going to mop the floor with sleepy Joe, and the Republicans will take control of Congress again. Then comes the judicial appointments.

Personally I am a libertarian, but I support Republicans because the Democrats want to raise taxes, which kills jobs, and take away guns, which destroys our liberty. Honestly, I don't like party politics. Probably why I like Trump.

Way Too Early for poll like that to matter.

IF those numbers are still like that in mid-October, they might be worth paying attention to.

Anyway, that poll has been floating around for a couple of days already.

And the general conensus is that the methodology was flawed at that it is a total outlier.

How do you know what the general consensus is?

In before the "now you believe polls" comments start rolling in.

But what do we get with a Republican victory?
    • More deaths because of a GOP attitude that's ignorant of COVID and dismissive of social distancing.
    • Pro-life doesn't really seem to mean pro-life considering the COVID response, so is it about just controlling women?
    • Law & Order buttttt only if we agree with the laws, right? Because if we don't we'll just ignore them and if anyone comes to enforce them we'll grab our guns because "tyranny".
    • Fiscal responsibility? Repubs pretty much cant criticize debt ever again.
    • Income inequality reached its highest level in 50 years didn't it? Thought we were supposed to be doing something about that.
    • Anyone really believe we'll actually get healthcare reform this time?
I don't particularly believe we'll score big on any of these things if the hair sniffer becomes President but IMO the GOP has shown itself to be hollow on a lot of its key ideology and so a defeat of some magnitude is likely on the horizon, just a question of when and how bad.

    By watching CNN, of course.

Sleepy Joe is now being limited by his handlers to seven minutes in his rare video appearances. :roflol::roflol::roflol:

Strength will win over senility. Two big campaign issues will be who will be tougher on China and who will be better to rebuild the economy. Trump wins on both IMHO.

I don't particularly disagree. I'm just disappointed that COVID has exposed so much of the Republican ideology to be hollow.

I don't see anything wrong with the poll, I am surprised about the numbers though. Last week the polls had Biden ahead.

This election is going to be close.

Well I don't have a crystal ball, but I do think it will be close.

Obviously the election is going to be close.

An Incumbent President is never an easy out.

In any event, it is still way too early for any poll (regardless of who conducts it, or who is ahead) to really matter.

Agreed on national polls not mattering, but Trump wants to raise taxes too. And has. While circumventing Congress to do so. As a libertarian as well, he was definitely the least libertarian Republican running last time. He may very well be the least libertarian candidate running in either party, both in this election and the last one.

Biden is much weaker then Hillary was in 2016 and trump is much stronger then he was in 2016.

The real question is how bad will the Democrat defeat be?

Voting for Democrats is like voting for Chinese communist. Many Democrats are going to stay home while trump supporters are enthusiastic to go vote.

It doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is where those votes fall in which states. Hillary got more votes than Trump. Didn't matter. Only distribution matters. It doesn't matter how many Dems stay at home and how many Trumpists are enthusiastic.

I find both to be hollow.

I want a 3rd party in the worst way, but it would help my preference if a dem candidate They already rank 3rd for me.

In addition to having too much baggage (Sexual Assaults, spying, Hunter Biden, drugs, $$$ from China, Ukraine, ect), Biden is just mentally not all there. He can barely make any sense from his basement, much less when they let out and he actually has to stand on a stage and talk.

Biden will also be under oath at some point for his role in spying on the Trump Administration and his conspiratory role against Gen. Flynn.

    Where did he raise taxes?
    I missed that memo.

The poll did not include different surveys of each of the 15 states, but surveyed 583 people across 15 states that were decided by 8 points or fewer in 2016. The margin for the battleground states alone was 5.3 points.

So it’s a poll of an average of 38 people per state? Color me skeptical on this one...

I don't believe polls. They are conducted with an outcome in mind to fit a narrative they are taken for. I'm sure this one is no exception.

All that really matters is election day.

Most Americans don't follow politics to closely which is why pretty much only the last 2 weeks matter.
