That tends to augment the argument nothing is about race.....it is about "human nature" and it is flawed. We need to end the focus on race and develope individual character. (Of course that would do nothing to help the Democrat platform that has nothing to run on)
1) Who accused YOU of being guilty? Why are you so defensive? 2) I have read and studied African-American history for many years. I am well aware of the Civil War and the Underground Railroad. 3) If Europeans hadn't been there to buy the slaves, the Africans who sold them wouldn't have had any customers. Much like the neighborhood drug dealer would go out of business if there was nobody to buy drugs from him.
The way in which the collective political Left pushes it? Yes. Individual racists -- Black, White, or Brown -- are not an entire system or nation. It's indivisualistic and not systemic. "Racism!" is a cynical Dem Party leadership political technique used to gain and retain political power and influence.
We can see that racism is very real. We watched countless White hating racists recently put entire sections of various cities to the torch.
The statement that 'Blacks cannot be racist' institutionalizes and greenlights the burning of cities by racists whom blatantly hate Whites.
The Constitution mentions race in an indirect way. In the Constitution enslaved Africans are referred to as "other persons".
Good thing, since those places are all far more racist than white majority countries and challenge your narrative. Leftist logic requires you remove them from the equation when you only want to denigrate the least racist and most inclusive country in the world.
It's a leftist philosophy taught by countless college professors and promulgated by professional race hustlers like Al Shapton and Jessie Jackson and endorsed without question by the Dem Party leadership and their politically loyal media outlets. Ironically . . . it demonstrates their own bone deep racism.
I think a change already perceptible, since the origin of the present revolution. The spirit of the master is abating, that of the slave rising from the dust, his condition mollifying, the way I hope preparing, under the auspices of heaven, for a total emancipation, and that this is disposed, in the order of events, to be with the consent of the masters, rather than by their extirpation. - Thomas Jefferson 1784
I do not live in any of those countries. I have no plans to move to any of those countries. My concern is the USA. "Leftist logic" is a deflection. The race issue supersedes politics.
Ummmm . . . no open ended politically motivated investigation into Barack Obama was ever launched and Barack Obama was not impeached for un-impeachable offenses for strictly political reasons and ninety-eight percent of Obama's press coverage was not negative one hundred percent of the time. Barack Obama was NOT the most hated and disrespected president. That honor goes to President Trump courtesy of the same media outlets that overtly worshiped Barack Obama with legs tingling Obamagasms. It was in the news and everything.
Just how much does Adelson pay you to hang out here? Have you ever had a rational thought that wasn't filtered through your hate filter?
Sigh. Capitalism killed slavery. Not that the South accepted the inevitable peaceably... And what you have there is just another dodge, we did what we did...
Rhetorical questions are fun, aren't they? But pretty much the rote bullet-point response answers you are getting could have come straight out of any typical college leve race relations course in which it is a given that Blacks are saints -- another one was just elevated to sainthood this past week in several funeral ceremonies around this nation -- and White are inherently EVIL. Everything else in such courses follows from there . . . strictly based on melanin count ratios. It's as scientific in nature as the 'science' of phrenology.
Thomas Jefferson really had a way with words didn't he? But, the truth of the matter is that Thomas Jefferson lived a very comfortable life off of his slaves. He never freed any of his slaves except his children---you know, the ones he fathered with Sally Hemings. Jefferson had the power to do much more than he did to end slavery. But, he didn't.
A fair assessment. Bigotry is the biological response to that which is not understood, the strange. It is a fear based response similar to fight or flee. Racism, on the other hand, can be thought of as monetizing bigotry in the same way that religion monetizes fear. The both take advantage of ignorance. A person like Trump uses racism to line his pockets. Across his life he's refused to allow Black residents in his buildings because his other tenants were willing to pay big money to keep "them" out. Monetizing bigotry.
No, the TRUTH is that Jefferson attempted to end slavery in VA and that many of the founders did as well. It was their creation, the Constitution, that enabled us to eventually end slavery. Unlike the rest of the world in 2020, predominately white cultures have stomped out slavery.
Really. So the only capitalist countries/locations in the world are US, Europe, Canada and Australia? I mean since those are pretty much the only countries to have eradicated slavery.
Your concern is to ignore anything that doesn't help your narrative. Tell me more about how bad the most inclusive and least racist country in the world is.
Sure they can. The animus between African Americans and Latinos is well documented. Blacks and Latinos are different from one another in the same way that Blacks and Whites are different. This difference feeds bigotry. Wealthy Whites force Blacks and Latinos to fight over the same piece of economic pie and thus bigotry become racism.
