Recently, I have heard from some on the left that whites can't be targeted by racism and blacks and other minorities cant be racist. Something to do with the power structure, blah blah..etc. I find this incredibly incorrect. I often use Louis Farrakhan as a glaring example of an openly racist (not the mention anti Semetic) black fella. I have asked these folks if he is a racist and they just cant bring themselves to simply say yes. Would a non racist say things like "whites are potential humans if they would evolve" and call Hitler a great man? You cant be against racism if you turn a blind eye to it. Louis Farrakhan heads the Nation of Islam, a group he has led since 1977 and that is based on a somewhat bizarre and fundamentally anti-white theology.
I'm not sure this is the right thread, but this woman recognise the hypocrisy and racism. On another note I would love to see this woman as president. She is someone I could follow in battle to hell and back.
Not what some on the left say, but at least you have no issue stating what's obviously true. And I'm not confused but a few on the left certainly are.
Not sure what 'lefties' you're talking to, but I've never encountered one that saw racism as a whites only thing. It's right there in the name - racism. Open to all races. An equal opportunity for anyone to blindly and ignorantly hate.
Well, I wont mention names but I hope he participates and the other one was some silly 20 something white girl on a local FB group page with 9K members, who came on there and called us all "waycisst" So I went to her profile page and she said "I have never been made to feel uncomfortable by a person of color but you had better believe I have never been able to get away from a white man, fast enough" So I screenshotted that and posted it, she then proceeds to make the argument, that's not racist because "power structure" and stuff. To be fair, it's a far left position not held by all, but not the only times I have heard the claim. Not all lefties but always lefties.
Guess it depends on which definition of racism one is using. If it is the belief that your race is superior, then I suppose minorities could argue they are not racist. However it you view racism as simply race-based bigotry and discrimination, then yes, every race is guilty, including blacks.
So, based on population, blacks are twice as racist as whites? Or would this be an inconvenient time to bring up facts.
Not necessarily the proper conclusion to draw from that. First of all, many people, black, white, or green dispute the veracity of hate crime. Second, hate crimes are not limited to race.
There is a guy on this forum who makes that claim. Here are a couple links to others who labor under the same delusion. Now you have heard of it. Your'e welcome. Pretty thin - you're using a small number of white authors to tell black people what black people think.
Nice strawman, I never said a thing about black people. I inform you that yes, some do claim some cant be racist and this is your reply? BTW the guy on the forum who thinks that way, is black.
I regulary heard people claiming that "minorities can't be racist because racism is a structural problem, and so it's "only" prejudice". Basically, it's mostly playing on definitions.
I have, but it's very rare. On the other hand, it's such an obnoxious and racist idea itself that the idiots who make this claim get noticed and amplified by other useful idiots trying to spread outrage about it. The people who make this claim would be best ignored like any other senile old racist.
