All are sold for only lawful purposes. I really don't care what the Australian government makes you do to prove to them that you aren't a criminal.
That is total BS, once again you have proved you have no clue as to what you are claiming. The AK-47 in full auto is a military firearm, the AR-15 has never been such. You are digging yourself deeper into the BS you have dumped with each new post.
Once again you have demonstrated your ignorance of facts, a so called Assault Rifle is not a semi-automatic rifle, the US military has testified to that under oath.
Your full of it, if you actually owned such a device you would understand they are not called silencer's, that would be on the first page of your owners manual. You literally cannot get the terms correct, why should anyone consider what you post to be even close to reality, it is clear you are following a scripted anti-gun narrative and trying to shore up your already in the tank credibility, which pardon the pun have shot full of holes by your lack of knowledge of the subject. But keep it up, like a 6 year old who got caught lying, instead of manning up and admitting you lied, you pile more lies on top of the ones you already posted, hoping no one will read what you have already posted. Your are digging yourself into a hole, it's time to stop digging and fess up.
To be frank, the whole suppressor/silencer is a shibboleth that's just worn out. The inventor called them silencers. The ATF calls them silencers. Silencershop, likely the largest retailer of silencers, calls them silencers. Advanced Armament Corporation, one of the larger manufacturers, calls them silencers.
No, someone made me an aluminum "silencer" as the are called here. Slipped over the barrel. I was warned not to get caught with it. Big fines. Why would you want one? So people can't hear you shoot. What technical term you use in USA is not the issue - you know what I mean. And again, nothing more sinister than a hand gun with a silencer. You aint hunting animals, maybe you are hunting people.
So if I don't know the models of cars I can't comment on the road toll? Sounds like duck shoving to me.
One hundred thousand people shot ever year should be a good reason. We ban GM technology just in the off-chance someone gets a rash.
The device in question is called a sound suppressor. It does not have the ability to eliminate the sound of a firearm being discharged, as such is physically impossible. Even with the most advanced type of sound suppressor available, the muzzle report is still equal in volume to an unsuppressed firearm, and just as easily heard even at great distances. The only thing a sound suppressor can do, is lower the decibel level of the firearm being discharged, to the point it does not cause physical damage to the inner ear structure. Any individual who claims otherwise has neither an understanding of firearms, nor of basic physics, and thus has no business discussing the matter.
The majority of which are acts of suicide. Something that even the nation of Japan cannot prevent from occurring, as their suicide rate is far higher than even the united states.
Real bright, as to the subject of this thread a cannon is not a firearm, you are really grasping at straws now. But that's what anti's do when it is pointed they have posted nothing but lies.
Sinister? This goes everywhere I go. It gets used often. It’s used to kill varmints, predators, and large animals that need to be euthanized. I’m fine calling it a silencer or a suppressor. I’m almost never concerned about humans (other than myself) hearing anything. Although sometimes I’m thankful for it if I have to shoot something in the middle of the night near a town. Suppressors for me are mostly an animal welfare issue. Most of my shooting is around domesticated animals that are panicked or disturbed by unsuppressed gunfire so suppression is vital. As a bonus, my hearing is protected. In my world you don’t have time to dink around trying to find muffs or plugs before shooting. You have to shoot NOW. Suppressors/silencers are wonderful tools on handguns or rifles. All of the other people I know with handgun suppressors have them for their own hearing protection. Either for recreational shooting or as self defense weapons in the home.
Frankly, I love the weapon. In Australia I would be in jail if the police found this on me. I think silencers are outright banned. But for so many of these things to be loose in society is a seriously dangerous thing.
The statistic is the one I proffered here before - 100,000 Americans shot every year, as compared to half a dozen in Japan.
Sure, but it's coming. Look at the American campus now - students have the "right" not to be offended. "Safe spaces" are provided if someone is offended, complete with soft toys and puppy dogs. People are "dis-invited" if they are "controversial." Statues are removed. Books quietly removed from libraries. Syllabuses rewritten. The students from American universities will tomorrow come the new administrators of universities, governors, senators, newsreaders, journalists, teachers etc.. Mao's Cultural Revolution gives you an idea of where it could head.
