HOW MANY children must women have according to you and the Mystical Rulers of Women ? Is one enough to earn their way to Nirvana? 10? 6 ? Have them until she drops dead from the effort ???
Did you see the statistics above about poverty? Do you think they would have the money for testing? But you are right in that third trimester abortions are becoming rarer but they re still required as some abnormalities only become obvious later in the pregnancy.
This OP seems to be inferring that men having sex with a woman should be thinking “prepare to be a father”.
I don't want them to get pregnant. And if she is going to terminate, I would prefer she do it as soon as possible, like preferentially within the first 2 to 3 weeks. For many women who are sexually active, that simply isn't practical; to be constantly checking things down there. It might be more practical for a once-in-a-rare-blue-moon type of event. How many times she gets pregnant is ultimately up to her, in a sort of way. She controls her contraception and she controls her sexual activity. If she really doesn't want to get pregnant again from her husband, maybe she should learn to take it from behind.
Ok kill as many babies as you want. You have the law on your side and I’m sure you don’t believe in God so there are no consequences to your virtue signaling to conventional values. Time will tell but I’m done with what even you admit is an intellectual game. I wish you the best.
Then why did you say women are obligated to have kids? . Why? What possible difference could it make to you? Then why do you want to butt in and tell her what to do?? You should really keep your wet dreams out of this... One doesn't get pregnant FROM someone , one gets pregnant BY someone.......and they don't have to be husbands...didn't you know that LOL!!!
It seems to me that women should have control over their bodies. If I were a woman that's what I would want. I would refuse to be told by men that I have to carry an unwanted baby to term, with all the risks that childbirth brings, and then spend 18 years bringing it up, just to please men who don't have that option. I would say f*** ***.
They should have three months to make the decision about this without explanation. No decision should take more than three months.
They have 23 weeks to make a decision...... whether or not to birth a child is not the same as deciding what color to paint a wall...
Most abortions are done between 12 and 18 weeks.....it would be nice if those discussing abortion knew something about it.... And it isn't "I should think" that counts....it's what the pregnant one thinks that counts...
I can’t imagine any failures even with a condom as it is 99 percent effective and I question the one percent as not wearing it properly. And it seems like the guy or girl are not careful about this enough. One of them should be the taskmaster here if not both. I would think that a condom in conjunction with a woman’s choice of spermicide would be essentially 100 percent effective in preventing pregnancy.
51% of women who had an abortion reported using contraception in the month they become pregnant. Crap happens. Life isn't this perfect little world that men (none of whom ever have to deal with the complications of pregnancy) that they would wish. Humans aren't perfect. Contraception isn't perfect. It is what it is. You have to realize that Americans of child bering age are having sex 40 - 60 million times a year, so when you talk about a 1% failure rate, you're talking about hundreds of thousands of unplanned pregnancies each year.
Think about your data point for a moment. Contraceptives are a daily or spot requirement unless they are more invasive, ie IUDs, patches, etc. Why try to float such a amorphous statistic that frankly doesn't support your assertion.
Unless you think women magically know the exact time they became pregnant, then it's the best we can do. Couples early in their relationship might have sex 20 times or more in a week. Can you tell which was the exact moment?
The question is how well did she use it? Did she use contraception before every time she had sex, and use it in the proper way? Or did she just pop a few birth controls that month and hope everything would be good? We don't really know. Not from statistics like the one you presented, at least. Plus, birth control pills are well known to not be the most reliable. Especially if not taken in the proper manner. (There are a lot of women who use birth control pills very haphazardly) If a woman is having lots of sex and only using birth control pills, she's almost asking for a pregnancy. Or certainly coming into the situation knowing there's a very substantial risk pregnancy could result. You'd have to be a dum-dum not to know this.
