I think sometimes certain people just have this big rant all written out ready to copy and paste on Facebook, Twitter, reddit, the gram, emails to mom, then forget where they are & just drop a word bomb anywhere.

Why would he think that and pull a gun? Why would the boyfriend be smashing down the door? And if he is there in bed with her doesn't sound like a "former" boyfriend and when you boyfriend violent people who engage in crime then is it surprising you get subjected to violence?

The boyfriend testified he shot first so it's not even debatable. Don't even play to the trolls and he testified he thought a drug dealer was breaking in. Geez sounds like they knew WAY MORE than stated.

Reports vs witnesses and medical evidence. That's the point and I personally think it's great we are going to hear it all at a trial. We'll actually see if the reports were fake news or not.

What makes him a criminal? I have not followed the case closely enough to know for sure but my understanding is that he didn't know who burst into his home and pulled a gun in self defense.

The autopsy presented to the grand jury, she died within two minutes, the criminal boyfriend SHOT one of the police officers the other was rendering HIM aid the third was outside and didn't know if anyone was hit. Stop with hyperbolic attempts to emotionally inflame it.

Again. The boyfriend was not a criminal. Why are you continuing to claim something that has been proven false?

And again... no aid was even attempted. You act as if the cops had already done an autopsy and knew she could not survive what they did to her.

No aid was given... and that in itself is criminal

It's always amazing how the anti-police side jumps to a narrative and become the lynch mob supports and encourages the "protest" which turn to violence and anarchy and then when the facts come out and refutes that narrative they STILL refuse to give up on it. We see it time and time again. I can imagine the Blake case the police and DA and Mayor know what the investigations are going to show and that it was a proper and lawful shoot and are buying time to try before they have to announce the results but then that is entirely unfair for the officers involved.

Please watch the actual African American Attorney General presenting the evidence vs some partisan or MSM. Not saying the BF was a criminal, but there is a ton of factual information.

They broke into a home where no crime was being committed in the middle of the night and killed one person and shot another...

That’s wrong and saying so is not anti police

I will acede the charges were dropped. She died within two minutes no amount of aid would have saved her and there was a downed officer being attended to. She was dead by the time they got her there was no aid to render her. And they aren't paramedics.

Regardless of whether “ no amount of aid” would have saved her... none was attempted and they did not know whether aid would have helped or not. It was 29 minutes before anyone bothered to CHECK her. N fact her boyfriend had to call 911!

SHE WAS DEAD.................what don't you get here?? We don't know exactly which shot and where it hit her, but the one shot was obviously a fatal one according to the medical report. And no 911 call was necessary the police had already called in a shooting with people down paramedics were on the way, but she was long dead before that.

"The Jefferson County coroner told The Courier Journal that Ms. Taylor most likely died less than a minute after she was shot and could not have been saved."
    https://www.nytimes.com/article/breonna-taylor-police.html

And they still had to clear the room and make sure it was safe for them to go into house from which shots had just been fired at them.

    Give it up.

Correct me if I'm wrong here
Back in February the police get a "no knock" warrant to go to an apartment that they had information that a suspect of theirs had at one time received a package at and go to said apartment at 12:40 in the morning and while they have a "no knock" warrant they announce themselves by pounding on the door (no one heard them say "police) then break down the door and are confronted by people in the hall of which one has a gun and shoots because he thought someone was breaking in and the police (who did not have body cameras on.......what a shock) return fire killing the woman (oh, and by the way, didn't hit the guy with the gun.....but tried for people in other apartments).
So again, this happened in February. There has been an uproar on this case since then which has gotten louder with other instances and yet none of the information came out until today. Nothing to see here.......oh, here's a check for 12 million (wink).

I agree w/ you that this is not the same as some of the past incidents of extra-judicial killings/shootings. Likewise, I agree that this was a tragedy & that it seems not to have been result of murderous intentions. Further still, that people against police brutality -- or, "liberals," as you call them--can hurt the case against the more blatant instances of unnecessary & excessive force by police when they lump in the more accidental cases. But on your assertion that, "the police involved followed protocol," I think the facts, so far known, discredit that statement of blanket amnesty. This is a tweet from NY Times reporter Rukmini Callimachi, who's been covering this story & who was on-scene today:

The third officer - Brett Hankison, the only one of the three to be fired - was in the formation by the door but he ran out of her apartment and into the parking lot & began firing into her sliding glass door & window with no line of sight, according to his termination letter."

    https://mobile.twitter.com/rcallimachi/status/1308820238587383810?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^tweet

There were mistakes made & inadequacies in the adherence to police protocol by these officers which led to this tragically avoidable death, beginning w/ the faulty intelligence that made them even believe that Breonna was still the girlfriend of the suspect they were targeting. They also believed Breonna was alone & unarmed.

I don't blame police for returning fire once they were fired upon. But that would probably not have occurred if the police had been more vocal in announcing themselves at the late hour when people might be asleep, away from the door, even in a room w/ a closed door. As I noted elsewhere, Rukmini Callimachi has quoted the fmr. police trainer of these officers at the Kentucky Police Academy saying that in a, "properly-executed, 'knock-&-announce,' the officers should be, screaming, 'police!' so loudly that the entire apartment complex hears it." According to the reporter, "by all accounts, (this) did not occur." Only one, of a dozen neighbors w/ whom they'd spoken, heard policemens' announcing themselves.

There's nothing I would disagree with you on. In my defense, I did say that the grand jury report was not released and we would learn more when it does come out.

What you list and link is compelling but not enough to change the grand jury's decision. I liken it to instant replay and referees looking at it to see whether there's enough evidence to change the call.

The mistakes you mention seem to fall under civil violations and are probably why Ms. Taylor's family received a settlement prior to the grand jury decision.

I do think there is more to learn around this tragic incident.

Finally, I used the term liberal not as a slander or as a derogatory term. I myself am a mutt who is part liberal. (I just don't like to use the term independent because I think it's overused and it's definition has lost it's true meaning).

Some interesting facts came out today that I wasn't aware of 1) the police officers did announce themselves 2) they did have a warrant 3) they were shot at first 4) one even injured

While I certainly understand she wasn't the target of the warrant, but her prior bf was, and I find this to be tragic...I am not sure what the police did wrong

but that is not at all what happened. 1) they did have a warrant for this house 2) they knocked and announced repeatedly before breaking the door in 3) they got shot at first, one even injured

Why hasn't the bf been charged?????
