https://www.cnbc.com/2020/12/08/elon-musk-confirms-he-moved-to-texas.html?__source=twitter|main Elon Musk has officially moved from California to Texas. Welcome Elon!!!! We Texans sure do appreciate all the extra jobs billionaires moving here can afford to provide since our state government doesn't tax them out of their money. That's real trickle-down wealth. Wondering if this Tweet was something for his old home state...or if Musk is actually talking to aliens. lol
Not to downplay the plethora of reasons California provides to any of its competent and successful residents to move away, but it might also be related to all the Starship development going on in Boca Chica.
He’s leaving the jobs here lol Texans probably too lazy for the tesla assembly lines. Or maybe their oil obsession makes building electric cars there seem idiotic. Why build them where nobody will buy them?
Your information is out of date (or more likely the result of consuming commie propaganda). Here, read this:
Yes, it's mostly economic. Most of his new business is in Starship with NASA and the new Tesla plant in Austin. From a personal perspective, he'll certainly find Texas much less "taxing" than California. Here's Musk on his move, business, government and motivations: "The best thing government can do is get out of the way." - Elon Musk
Shapiro went to Tennessee. Rogan and Musk to Texas. But yes, all three left California, and all for reasons of too much government interference in their lives and business. Like they say, "Socialism is fun until you run out of other peoples' money." The millionaires and billionaires seem to be getting out first.
It appears that he's probably going to relocate to somewhere in Travis County (Austin metro area). There are some spectacularly beautiful areas to have a home there, especially west of town, up in the hills, by the lakes. Here's a home in West Lake Hills, adjacent to Austin proper. It's only about six million -- pocket change for Mr. Musk. The property taxes are stratospheric because Travis County is completely dominated by Democrats, but as long as you could afford the air conditioning bills, you'd probably think you were in paradise.... Austin always was wonderful, and it still is -- but now you must be RICH, or damn close to it! . And this is just one of MANY in West Lake Hills....
Oh yeah. I recall he said something about that. Didn't hear what changed on that front, but definitely TX, FL and TN are getting in influx of wealth and brain power from CA.
He'll probably buy a home in Houston and one in Austin to be close to both businesses. Hop, skip and a jump with a helicopter or private plane. No traffic problems. lol Austin is a lot prettier than Houston and the weather's nicer too. Houston is a flat, humid swamp.
Hes going to bring his left wing colleagues with him... Democrats will overrun that state and drive it into the dirt in 20 years. As soon as they've got control of the legislature, they'll end the oil industry. Watch and see.
He moved his entire staff out of CA, 17 people if I remember correctly, to TN. I did hear he is in FL, but still not clear why he would move everyone to one state and go off to a different state himself. Is that temporary, do you know? I guess it doesn't matter, since they do podcasting. They can all "work from home" from any place they wish.
I just need my son to Graduate from Huntington Beach High School this coming June. I do live in a hold out part of California where our Sheriff just told Gavin Newsome to go **** himself.... well he didn't use that exact word, but that's what he meant. My considerations are: Meridian, ID Prescott, AZ Fort Worth, TX Orange Beach, AL Knoxville, TN Florida Pan Handle Beaches
Musk has gone minimalist. He’s selling all his homes. Apparently possessions are not what brings him happiness. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bu...ngeles-homes-real-estate-portfolio-photos?amp
That's what I thought. He is usually wearing t-shirts. If people think he is going to boost the TX economy by his personal spending, I think they are mistaken.
Florida's panhandle just got slammed by four hurricanes in a row this summer. The other possibilities are probably your better options.
Elon had major issues with the government when it mandated the plant in Fremont, CA shut it's doors. Elon defied CA and opened back up. https://www.tesla.com/factory
