They never got any, and their oaths of office make it difficult for them to break their oath for the ego of one person.

 

There is well-documented corruption--the legal kind: the misinformation of the press and the suppression of journalism by Big Tech; as for the criminal kind, that was done in the darkness. Republican observers, for example, were too far away, making their function moot; and that is just one example. Your radicalism of empiricism is childish; following your logic, if there isn't proof that a crime was committed, then a crime was never committed. Congress does not officially count and confirm the electoral votes until January 6th. They can all be contested in court up until that point. Until then, Biden is still not even President-elect....

It would legitimize Biden's victory in the eyes of some cultists who are still entertaining the fantasy Trump has been promoting that there are credible reasons to question the outcome of the election. IOW, it would help align them with reality. Something the country would benefit from since so many conservatives exist in an alternative reality.

I agree that it is time to concede since this notion of sitting two sets of electors and then having the Legislative Branch make the final decision is more than a bit of a pipe dream. Sometimes the bad guys just get away with an open theft. But also on that point while Trump should concede . . . there is concession and then there is CONCESSION.

What Trump should do is make a public announcement that for -- say -- the good of the nation he is conceding that the Dem Party sucessfully stole the election and thus he WILL obey the Constitution and step aside for the corrupt and -- let's face it -- the senile President Elect; but that he will in no way concede that it was a legitimate win. In other words exit as he entered . . . fighting for this nation every inch of the way. If the Judicial Branch and election officials across this nation are just fine with the open theft of the presidency then that's 'all she wrote' for this nation.

So step aside, wash your hands of it, and then be on about your business. But engage in the farce that it was a just 'win'? Nope. Instead, just toss Dementia Joe Biden the keys and walk away . . . of but as you are exiting, perform a massive public information dump of documents revealing every heretofore secret scandal of BOTH the GOP and Dem Party leaderships before waving goodbye.

 

The problem is that 'concede' specifically means to admit the legitimacy of a claim that was previously contested. Trump cannot legally (or truthfully) concede if he believes Biden won via fraud.

Nor should he.

Admitting defeat may be in the best interest of the country (though I don't think so), but specifically conceding is not.

 

Just report him to the mods and be done with it.

I don't want Trump to concede, ever. I don't want him to congratulate Biden. I want him to push investigations. I don't want him to go to Biden's inauguration.

I loathe Trump. But just like Obama did, I want him to push the divide. The more discord, the better, until the political system collapses.
