What you say is correct. Dehumanizing people will make them angry. So, take a good, long look into the mirror and figure out what your party had become. Dehumanization of people they don't like IS the Trump party platform: Immigrants, Muslims, Mexicans, foreigners, socialists, Democrats, doctors, unemployed, journalists.... That's just the start of the long list of "enemies" that Trump worked on dehumanizing for four years. Now, that the shoe is on the other foot, caused by Trump fan's own actions, all of a sudden they cry, and they want to be humored and respected? We'll respect them when they lay off the Trump cul$.
We are truly lost if everyone in America accepts this clearly false idea that one side of the duopoly will somehow save the country. Neither side will, and the duopoly will definitely not do it together. All that the duality obsessed can do is lob the same old clichés around over every issue. We get nowhere that way, just as the duopolists like. That way, we remain in their thrall.
I am impressed that Arnold Schwarzenegger even dared to bring up the Kristallnacht / Night of Broken Glass. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kristallnacht He might have lost a good part of the American audience right there and then. (Only 12 seconds into the video!) For Americans are not known to be well informed when it comes to knowing Hitler or even when the Holocaust happened. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/jan/22/holocaust-survey-americans-pew-research-center In the end, after four years of Trump, his Presidency ended like many people feared it would end; with death and destruction. In 1938 Kristallnacht caused death and destruction amongst Jews. And then it got a whole lot worse because Hitler was in a position of power to make it so. World War 2, The Holocaust. Trump was stopped in time for a majority of the American people were wise enough, thankGod, not to fall for his rigged election lie. The rest need to learn from Arnold words.
No one dehumanized immigrants or Muslims or Mexicans. It’s the same lying BS swill. ILLEGAL or gang member or terrorist is VERY different. And wanting to enforce policy to stop ILLEGALS is NOT dehumanizing anyone. That’s the problem here AGAIN. Inserting your own meanings into what was clearly stated by lying about intent and removing context. When the left calls white people racist just for being white, what would you call that? When the left claims black people cant walk down the street or sleep in their beds without a white person or a cops shooting them, that’s stroking fear and spreading racism. Black have the MOST to fear from THEMSELVES! NOT white people. It’s a statistical fact that can’t be debated or dismissed. And the fact that the MSM and Democrat leadership keeps pushing that false narrative is WHY the vast majority of violence is occurring. What do they expect to happen when they instill such fear in people?
While I have a lot of respect for Arnold, seeing that he completely ignored summer violence in his speech, which could be used to tweak his entire statement against the democrats, I don’t think he sees things clearly, or his agenda is blinding him.
"They're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime, they're rapists, and some, I assume, are good people"
Are you saying illegals and gang members aren’t bringing drugs and crime with them? And those who aren’t committing the above, might be good people. Completely factual statements. Certainly more factual than Trump told people to storm the capital building, that I’m seeing on the news every morning.
As a child born after the war he would not have had first hand knowledge. I think that, within certain boundaries, that the comparison is valid. In any event, the apologists for the rioters, those in and out of officialdom who spent months fanning the flames of rebellion are not patriots, are not protesters, are in fact insurrectionists and seditionists participating in an attack on our government designed to prevent the electoral college from validating the election. There were no antifa or BLM members in that riot, and a riot is exactly what it was, carefully orchestrated and led by supporters of and at the direction of president Trump and his minions, said direction being openly done in front of cameras and on twitter before the whole world. These are easily verifiable facts and will only be argued against by the kind of people who would argue with a stop sign.
Wow. It really is a stirring, inspired speech. I knew Arnold was bright, but had no idea he was capable of such eloquence. For those who are still grappling with their distress over the course we are navigating, I highly recommend following your link to listen, for the strength of a confident voice, floating upon our treacherous, political waters, upon which one may find support for the buoyant optimism which is our American heritage.
You compare the riot a few days ago with this?? What do you think happened to those 30,000 put in concentration camps? Thirty thousand dead, 257 synagogues destroyed, 7000 businesses destroyed is compared by Arnold and you to a single US riot? Maybe if your house was destroyed, or your family was put in a concentration camp, you would reconsider your position. Just saying. Jewish homes, hospitals and schools were ransacked as attackers demolished buildings with sledgehammers.[5] Rioters destroyed 267 synagogues throughout Germany, Austria and the Sudetenland.[6] Over 7,000 Jewish businesses were damaged or destroyed,[7][8] and 30,000 Jewish men were arrested and incarcerated in concentration camps.[9] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kristallnacht
While I whole-heartedly agree with your sentiment (as a former supporter of both Perot & Nader) that our 2-party system breeds too much potential for corruption, both by providing, "special interest," lobbyists w/ 2-stop shopping, as well as by fomenting a hyper-partisan mentality in which a win for the party, trumps the best interests of the country & its citizens, overall, I do quibble with your timing of advocating that view in this particular thread. It could be taken to suggest that neither Party's view, in our current situation, is superior (or choose your adjective: more defendable, laudable, condemnable, dangerous, objectionable, etc.) to the others'. And perhaps that IS your view. I also wonder, seeing that @Quantum Nerd liked your post, if he is applauding it for its non-partisan stance, or if he possibly interprets it as an appeal to Trump supporters, & Republicans in lock-step with Trump, not to place all their eggs of trust, into one basket. It could, just as easily, be taken as a vote of no-confidence in the Democrats' attempts to remedy our present circumstance of, at least borderline, seditious electoral contention. So, if you will accept my suggestion in the helpful spirit in which I intend it, & forgive my seeming, in any way, to present my own opinion as at all authoritative, I wish only to point out, seeing that you are newly registered here, that it is worth the effort to make your meaning crystal-clear, for those who may be just seeing any one particular post and who may not be aware of your general deportment towards politics.
No, it won't. You folks have proven you are incapable of basing your opinions on evidence and incapable if discussing evidence. Lunatic conspiracy theorists will always claim "cheating." They say this based only on their conspiratorial feelings. They are incapable of discussing evidence. And Trump is their God.
You guys were talking bad about Trump before he was even the party nominee. And He only nicknamed them after they attacked him.
Oh, so you don't think that he was talking about the DC Police when he said that BLM would have been treated "very differently?"
Thats almost like complaining of election fraud before the election even takes place. You would have to define "attacked".
