https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/23/us/larry-king-dies-trnd/index.html RIP Lawrence! So another icon of radio and TV decided to die. Seems like the age in the 80's is a very popular age to die these days. King being popular made sure that he died at an appropriate and popular age. Hey he was soft ball interview host. He interviewed criminals and saints and did not ask either type any tough questions. He once interviewed a recently released (from a California prison , where else) an incestuous pedophile scum and shook the Turds hand. He sort of started or made popular the talking head interview show. The suspenders are are hung up for the last time! Anyone wants to join me in saying RIP Lawrence Harvey Zeiger, aka Larry King stage name?
RIP, Larry King. https://www.bbc.com/news/live/uk-55778052 P.S. Make CNN great again. Like in Mr. King's time. Please?
I met Larry several times, interesting cat. He was very good at what he did, set the stage for an entirely new type of TV show. RIP larry.
Ah! Thank you for reminding me. This is a little tiny minutely off topic but do not say that too loudly because there are deniers hanging out on the Internet who will claim it was just old age, only old age . They are COVID deniers !
I remember some of those as well, but I just told my 18 year old this news and he had no clue who Larry King was... he's been out of the news for a long time now... RIP Larry And since I haven't seen a thread on another iconic death, RIP Hammerin' Hank Aaron... I wonder, since Larry was based in Atlanta for a lot of his career, if he and Aaron are enjoying a beverage in heaven this morning?
Aaron's was posted in the Sports forum... http://www.politicalforum.com/index.php?threads/sports-obituaries.438850/page-4#post-1072395856
Hey that makes three with Atlanta connection in a couple few days. King was signed with CNN based in Atlanta by Hanoi Janes ex husband. Hank Aaron played more than half of his time in Atlanta and broke The Babes record in Atlanata. Don Sutton a famous Dodgers pitcher became the Voice of the Braves after he retired from baseball decided to die earlier this week. Trifecta anyone? PS like Larry King I am a lifetime (Brooklyn) Dodgers fan since my first time seeing a major league game at Ebbets Field Brooklyn. I once heard a sick crazy delusional guilible woman say that the Dodgers once played in God forbid "NewYork". Blasphamey of the worse kind.
I only saw it because I use the "New Posts" link to see ALL new posts. If you click on "Home" (upper left) http://www.politicalforum.com/index.php you can see all the sub-forums.
Thanks I do not venture hardly at all from Currant and Political Opinion rooms. I hate change trying to conserve the status quo.
I understand. I just posted that because @Egoboy mentioned not seeing anything about Hank Aaron's passing.
