Wow, I didn't expect you to end with that question after using that scenario! You seemed to be making the compassion argument for abortion, so I would've expected a question like, isn't it wrong to refuse to allow them to have an abortion, because it will impact their lives so much? Or an even closer match to your question would be, are you telling me that a ban on abortion would not limit their freedom to live their life as planned? In which case, the answer is NO, it would ABSOLUTELY limit their freedom to live their life as planned! Having an abortion would obviously make their life easier by giving them more freedom to live their life as planned, but so would killing their BORN child, if they decide to have the kid and later decide that it's too difficult. In answer to your actual question - no, it would not limit the woman's bodily autonomy, but I've already made that clear in previous posts, and so far nobody has been able to come up with an argument for why it WOULD.
No, no, no. Why are you speaking of yourself in third person? I asked you to imagine you are that woman.
Alright, fine. Here it is amendmended: Wow, I didn't expect you to end with that question after using that scenario! You seemed to be making the compassion argument for abortion, so I would've expected a question like, isn't it wrong to refuse to allow them to have an abortion, because it will impact their lives so much? Or an even closer match to your question would be, try to for a moment imagine you are a young woman, you have just found the job of your dreams and you are very excited to start your new career and your new life with the love of your life you just moved in with. Life is going great and one day, boom -- You are pregnant. Neither you nor your boyfriend are ready for this yet. Not financially, not mentally and you just don't want children right now. Are you telling me that a ban on abortion would not limit your freedom to live your life as planned? In which case, the answer is NO, it would ABSOLUTELY limit my freedom to live my life as planned! Having an abortion would obviously make my life easier by giving them more freedom to live their life as planned, but so would killing their BORN child, if they decide to have the kid and later decide that it's too difficult.
What does a woman’s right to “bodily autonomy” have to do with the right to terminate a pregnancy? That’s a rhetorical question...
Abortion doctors would loose their job has got to be the WORST argument in favour of abortion that I've heard, and I've heard some BAD ones!
Would she be performing the abortion on her own body? If so, then this is absolutely removing her right to her own body! Just like if the law prevented her from piercing her own body.
You got your answer. You chose to ignore it because it didn’t suit your narrative. White flag accepted.
I did, thanks for answering. Is that figuratively or literally speaking? Do you have any kind of issues with contraceptives?
OMGAWD DUHHHHHHHHHHHHH....IF you had been following the thread ( I can't believe this has to be explained) you would know that "God" was mentioned many , many times..... just OMG...
