No, so far it isn't unconstitutional. Republicans (like you, perhaps?) want to make it unconstitutional so you don't have to help people afford decent health care. I think what you're going to make us all suffer through is single-payer--Medicare for all--because you couldn't bring yourself to support the late Senator Coburn's plan.
No, of course not. The customer should at least be held responsible for documenting regular maintenance.
Comparing human beings to cars is specious nonsense.

If you catch covid, insurers may jack up your premiums because you might cost them more money in the future. They might have a separate rate for people who went to the hospital for covid, or who had covid and a list of diseases. There goes healthcare for a lot of people. Mostly lower-income who were more likely to catch covid in the first place.

"Mr. @Pollycy, we see you tested positive for covid in 2020, so there will be a covid surcharge of $400 per month." they'll say. You want to do this to people in the middle of a pandemic?

We could have been like Australia...

    165D1DF5-90A7-423E-BF34-57364E9BACBE.jpeg

Australia--25m people and only 909 have died. We've even killed folks at 2.5x the rate in Canada.

We might still have a chance at a voucher system for medical care, but time is running out. Republicans pushing to have Obamacare declared unconstitutional will be like the dog who caught the car if they get their wish. I suspect Democrats will respond by pushing Medicare-for-all as a model SCOTUS won't declare unconstitutional. They'll pass it by majority vote in both Houses. Game, set, match.

With what they've done on covid, Republicans must have a death wish. Someday when this is mostly over, we're going to ask why so many died. If we had done as well as Canada, we would have slightly less than 200,000 deaths. Not 520,000.

So, why didn't we do as well as Canada? They have a federal system with a constitution where each province has even more power than a U.S. state. They're as urbanized as we are.

Who speaks for the dead? Not this guy...

    9B0BE498-EBFA-4F32-B650-449D4A9F6336.jpeg

... who seldom even spoke of them as President.

I know exactly what the SALT cap is, it costs me $3k a year more in taxes and the 1st yr it was almost $5k. 4th time, those tax breaks only shifted the tax burden.

Why is that? My daughter just bought her first house and got a $15k grant. If that's "the shaft", I'll have 2 please.

Creepy? Maybe, it doesn't have context as a still. Criminal? No evidence of it here.

And while you're wayyyyyy out there on the right, Joe is putting food on the table. You guys are trying to take away some folks' heathcare. In a pandemic. Hohhh-Kayyyy...

I'm sure that you know how annoying it is to see your giant pictures over and over again so I have to assume you do it to be that way.

I understand that is your opinion, but if it makes you feeeeelllzzz better, you should certainly repeat your opinion another dozen times, if not more. :)

You should address his policies, not waste time making claims about his brain.

I find very predictable people to be somewhat comforting, even when predictably repetitive and off topic most of the time.

Anyway, it will be interesting to see if Joe's first national appearance since inauguration helps or hurts him in the very accurate Rasmussen polls. I expect that if he can read the teleprompter for 15-20 minutes without getting confused or wandering off, he'll get a small bump in the polls.

I do wonder if he pre-recorded this evening's speech, or if his handlers, nurses, and Jill are actually letting him "go live".

The state of Joe's brain is a national security issue. His policies are awful.

This thread is about his mental fitness. :)

Nah, dirt cheap labor maxing out the profits of those with tax shelters are payinf for all the stuff, including corporate welfare for Mexico and Red China's sweatshops, but right wingers apparently would much rather keep losing elections to retarded lunatics and deviants than grow up and move on from Ayn Rand bullshit.

And, interest on anything should never ever be tax deductible. It's a ridiculously stupid idea.

Well, there is that. But seems like the stain was their for his entire 50 year public record: lying, plagiarizing, womanizing, bullying and being on the wrong side of every policy.

The dementia just adds a new patina to the stain(s). :)

My German friends would probably agree with you, but they are used to paying taxes to the government that are exorbitant by our standards.

I still think a 'single-payer' system where all these companies have to BID for our business might be best! An American single-payer system customer base would be the largest such group of customers in the world -- and everybody would have to 'sharpen their pencils' to get our business!

The awarded contract would be enormous, but it would require the participation of several of the largest providers in a 'consortium', but the benefits to people who are a part of that customer-base would be very significant! To be brief: 'Tonnage commands a lower price!"

Back on topic... honestly, I don't see any American president getting this done, and Congress -- Left and Right -- is too heavily-funded and lobbied by Big Pharma and Big Med to ever get it done, anyway.

We could have been like Sweden too...

...but we're not. Nor more we could have been Australia.

Invariably comparingbthe United States to most other countries is fruitless, well unless one likes comparing apples to oranges. Population density, mobility, culture and hundreds of other logistical problems lead to dead ends on comparison.

So sorry, the US could never "be like Australia" and to be honest should never be like them because they have no issue in crossing a line into draconian policies.
