Amen to your entire message. All of it.

Anyone who actually believes our government (both parties) isn't bought and paid for by special interests need look no further the cost of prescription drugs.

People dying from covid? How many Americans are dying because they can't afford to fill their prescriptions?

You don't understand what's going on politically. The Squad, Sanders, Warren--they've been marginalized in party. Joe is running the action.

Oh, now you on the Left want to blame us Conservatives for the creation of Social Security and Medicare?!

Sorry, Te, but SS and Medicare were the 'brain-farts' of the Great Democrat demi-god, Frankie Roosevelt, and, Frankie's star-pupil, Lyndon B. Johnson. They set each of these systems up, made participation absolutely mandatory for everyone (except various kinds of government workers, of course), and threatened to throw everybody's ass in prison if we didn't obey to the rules and regulations in these THINGS that THEY created. Your pretense that these Democrat programs had roots in the Constitution is baseless, Te. I guess you didn't read Post #343 in this thread that @Talon wrote, and I can easily see why you wouldn't WANT to... because it blows the "legs" of your argument right out from under you!

Truth? Like nearly everything else that Democrats have put into existence for over a hundred years in this country, SS, Medicare, Medicaid, and all the rest of it, were merely constructs designed to pander to people -- promising them "something for nothing" in return for their votes. And it worked! The fact that anyone so mentally disheveled as poor ol' Joe is could sit in the Oval Office today is tragic proof of THAT.

    Sad....

You don't understand what's happening if you think Biden is a puppet.

Perhaps you can clarify it for me. It looks to me like the left is on a tear to change life in America and Biden says he supports it. I don't think he would support what is going on currently 10 years ago but I could be wrong. It is my impression. Obviously I don't work in the white house (and never would.)

So I suppose that all of you rightists who will get the $1400 checks and the additional child credits etc will immediately send the checks back to the US Treasury as a donation right? Right? I mean, this is coming from an initiative by the demented, senile, puppet, unfit guy and his party, with not a single GOP vote, so you won't be taking the money, right? Right? Just checking.

[Won't happen to me as I make way too much money to qualify for any of these handouts but I'm curious to know what all these people who are screaming that Biden is unfit and demented will do]

How stupid would someone have to be to give money to the government willingly.

Interesting but no explanation of the differences. My guess is that Americans are just more unhealthy in general. That can't be blamed on Trump.

The "left" is always focused on changing things. Biden has corralled the Squad, Warren, Sanders et al and has very few wild-eyed types in his cabinet. He's ridin' down the middle, putting food on folks' tables, and vaccine in their arms. As long as he's countering hard times, he can keep the lefties in line.

If SCOTUS rules Obamacare unconstitutional, Joe has a beautiful issue for the 2022 election.

My guess is they'll just endorse those checks directly over to (THE) SAP

Just to keep everybody updated with the latest Rasmussen "polling", Joe is now up to a 51%/+4 Approval with this "polling" site, which obviously lags behind the better services

    https://www.rasmussenreports.com/pu...n_administration/biden_approval_index_history

Solid +13 with the 538 polling average, which for some reason, INCLUDES Rasmussen...

    https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/biden-approval-rating/

Wait until he has to get in and fight for the rights of Americans to vote.... Approval could go through the roof...

Good for him! If Joe couldn't post high popularity numbers the day after he shovels out $1.9 TRILLIONS in "stimulus", along with megatons of gobby-slop PORK, and, enough handout welfare to keep the 'cattle' quiet, then when could the poor, old fellow ever BE popular?!

Notice: if Democrats hadn't hung everything up in Congress, we would have a fundamentially better "stimulus" bill, including the $2 thousand dollar handout, LAST OCTOBER! :frown:

False it has NEVER been debunked because you can't debunk the Constitution. The Tax and Spend clause is quite clear, government can tax the people to maintain ITSELF and IT'S obligations it is NOT to supply that to the People.

I'm assuming never. However, you might consider using a small chunk of your Biden stimulus money to improve yourself and do it anyway....

    Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha....

You ever hear of somebody named Mitchell McConnell??

I'd normally go with "nice try", but it really wasn't much of an effort to deny recent history....

Ya gotta love the critical issues Republicans find -

    - not enough pressers!! Have they HEARD of the ex president leader of their party?

    - more tax cuts for the SUPER wealthy!

After all, which Americans are in need today?

Well, ol' Mitch would have been happy to have supported the COVID relief bill last October -- but without all the "gobby-slop TONS of pork" in it (thus, a bill focused on actual COVID relief and vaccinations), and not on 'rescuing' all these irresponsible 'red' municipalities and states that are going to be SWIMMING in 'pork-fat' now -- thanks good ol' Joe!

Mitch was perfectly happy to support HIS version of some bill, which was not supported by either the House or the Mouse....

Not to completely divert from your diversion, but I checked my checking account today and my family stimulus money is on the coming deposit list..

    Now THAT's fast work....

I'll step up and raise my hand, @CenterField , and I won't be coy about it, either.

I'm happy to receive my $1,400, measly 'table-scrap' that it is, because anything I can get BACK from the federal government is something I'll take IN A HEARTBEAT!

I think of it as partial (only PARTIAL) recovery of what I should have earned in interest on my savings accounts if I hadn't been screwed by the Federal Reserve combine in its endless gyrations to 'rescue' the almighty-god STOCK MARKET -- a thing it began by crushing interest rates, starting in August, 2007.

Under "W" Bush, Obama, Trump, and now Biden, that 'rescue' process has never stopped (and probably never will until the sh!t involved in the stock markets being colossally overvalued finally hits the fan), so, I take back what I can, legally, from the stinking, corrupt government and its 'central bank', and smile, as often as I can....

So, when's the NEXT 'welfare handout' coming? Probably next October or November -- and I don't think I'll be off by too much....

I'm happy for you -- sincerely, I am. And I look forward to getting mine, too. It's only a 'table-scrap' when measured against almost TWO TRILLION DOLLARS, but what the hell -- it 'beats a poke in the eye with a sharp stick'! Have a great weekend! :woot:
