Or racism involves subjective logic, which involves concepts, judgements and deduction that come from life experiences, disposition, biases, other's opinions, group membership....
Yes it is. One is assuming those actions are a constant or one may be misinterpreting those actions or there may be too little knowledge to understand the intent of those actions.
Well I'm stupid so you will have to ask for somebody else's advice that may reflect on why mirrored racism should apply in objectiveness .
I would not say racism is always negative stereotyping. My narrow eyes make some people presume I am good at math. That's an annoying positive stereotype and is also racism.
I would define racism as grouping people by stereotypes and treating them as representatives of the imagined group traits rather than viewing them as individuals.
Presuming a white guy can't dance, and is wealthy, or that a black guy can play basketball and likes fried chicken, are all relatively harmless, but are still raciat stereotypes. Presuming a black person isn't as smart or has had a harder less privileged life, and lowering the bar for entry to a school, or raising it for Asian kids, all based on race, is also racist. Demanding people of a particular race are not allowed to use these particular facilities or eat at this particular place is also racist. I don't think it's very complicated. It only becomes so when people seek to make excuses for particular cases of it.
Stereotypes are usually over generalizations of what is really true. There is no stereotype of the fat Chinese woman on welfare with five illegitimate children by five different men. There is no stereotype of the stupid, lazy Jewish man with several felony convictions and several illegitimate children he does nothing to support.
Yes, racists latch on to a negative stereotype that may be true of a small minority of the hated population and expands it to the rest of the population giving it more weight than it actually has to fulfill the racist's need to denigrate and vilify that race. If I didn't like white people, I could say they are a bunch of racists.....which would be racist, but true of some.
What’s racist is calling white men boys. If a black man was called boy by a white man, the white man would be lynched.
The Sentencing Project, OCTOBER 10, 2017 In “Growth in the U.S. Ex-Felon and Ex-Prisoner Population, 1948 to 2010,” Sarah Shannon and colleagues estimate that one-third of black men had a felony conviction in 2010—a significant increase over the past 30 years and far above the rate for white men. https://www.sentencingproject.org/news/5593/ Center for Equal Opportunity, FEBRUARY 26, 2020 Late last year, the final data for 2018 were published here (the key is Table 9 on page 25), and here’s what we learn: For all racial and ethnic groups combined, 39.6 percent of births in the United States were out-of-wedlock (incidentally, isn’t that appalling?). And there was as always a tremendous range among groups. For blacks, the number is 69.4 percent; for American Indians/Alaska Natives, 68.2 percent (Native Hawaiians/Other Pacific Islanders were at 50.4 percent); for Hispanics, 51.8 percent; for whites, 28.2 percent; and for Asian Americans, a paltry 11.7 percent. https://www.ceousa.org/2020/02/26/percentage-of-births-to-unmarried-women/
When's the last time one'a you boys been lynched? Thanks....racists just eat up your evidence and they can see no further..
There are more white victims of interracial murder than any other race. white men are the ultimate victims in modern society
they are being radicalized by the mainstream media. When all you hear is how bad you are in how you're a white supremacist and nothing you will ever do will make you not one, you tend to give up on never convincing people you're not. I guess the mainstream is getting their wish all the white supremacists they've ever wanted.
Do you need a tissue? You don't represent all white men and if your politics gets criticized by "modern society" you take on the role of "victim". You mean they are talking about you? Well then, maybe they are right and you just don't get it.
Brown pants racist cosplayers get in touch with reality in Philly and don't like it then run away. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/philadelphia-white-supremacists-run-away_n_60e3c7ece4b06fb1a6ee6545
This is the real question. And It is a question and should be investigated and not presumed. This group that marched, were they marching peacefully like many BLM demonstrators, or attacking violently like Antifa? If they did do violence, was it instigated by them or was it self defence? Had they marched peacefully, would this story read much differently? Would the prevailing public sentiment still be that of Voltaire, that they have a right to free speech we should vigorously defend even though we reject and hate what they say?
Patriotic Americans? Shouting "reclaim America" sounds more like a bunch of on line recruited fragile white boys.
I wonder why this White Supremacist group went all the way to Philadelphia, instead of having their march in their own hometown in Texas? They probably would have been more welcomed in Texas.
I don’t know what demonstrators you’re talking about. But if they act like antifa I would call them extreme. I also think the defund the police movement is extreme. We seen them take over sections of cities I believe these people consisted of BLM and ANTIFA. I haven’t seen a white hate group take over a public city block, block access, ID everyone who goes in (even though they oppose ID laws), and set city streets on fire.
