Come to Texas wear we don't wear masks except in doctor's offices and hospitals. Our schools are open (and have been) without masks. No mask requirements in shops, stores, businesses, at the beach or eating out. We're free here. And our China Virus death rate (per 100,000) is 24th in the nation... neither high nor low.

Most parents have been home-schooling (or augmenting the assigned lessons) their kids all last school year due to COVID. Many of them needed their kids back in the classroom so they can work.

However, I agree that homeschooling is a better choice than traditional classrooms if a parent can manage it.

 

I think we all know that when masks are mandatory that it's always the same people who just use the mask as a chin-diaper and not on their face.
The teacher should just have send them kids home for refusing to listen for the 100th of time,... which would make cause dad or mom to stay home and watch over their kid.


Also... it's a substitute teacher who does it's best. It's probably a sh**-show at that school anyways.
Kids should get over the idea that they had a little tape on their head to keep their mask in place.
This is just right wing snow flakes acting as if these kids got violated and scared for life.
Their grandparents got raised with beatings by the teacher... to put things in perspective.

 

Liberals don't act like that just like conservatives don't act like this...

 

Perhaps the teacher having their mask duct taped to their face would be equal?

How do you know they haven't had emotional or psychological damage? After all, children are emotionally sensitive, and need grief counselors when a classmate commits suicide....

 

Why should that be done? As commented before... it's known that kids use the mask as a skin diaper all the time. That tape is obviously used to prevent the mask from "accidentally" slipping on the chin.

Have you not read my previous comment about my idea's about right wing snow flakes? Your grandpa got beaten by it's teacher, physically slapped around. And you are with suicide comments for a kid getting a little piece of tape on it's skin. If a kid can't handle something that insignificant, it really needs A LOT of help. Really... A LOT. Them parents need to be look at as well, for raising their kid to be some whining little Karin.

So according to your post here, teachers should have the right to tape a child's mask to his face. Does this extend to taping a kids pants to his back so they don't droop? Or maybe taping their hands to the desk so they don't make hand signs that could be considered White Supremist?

I really don't care how you label and sort people. Treatment of a child in this manner by someone other than their parent is out of line. Considering the coddling that currently exists, children are not allowed to experience negative effects of their own actions, yet you are OK with this idea because.... it fits your preference? What is the infection rate of that age group? Mortality rate? Obesity rate?

 

agree, teacher was wrong, you just call the parents at work and tell them to come pick up their child, they are misbehaving in class, you don't do this nonsense

now I will agree, that some children are disrespectful and it's hard for teachers, but this type of abuse is never ok, and not the answer...
