https://foreignpolicy.com/2019/05/1...when-a-country-bans-abortion-romania-alabama/ The abandoned children became the unwitting subjects of psychological research that showed early deprivation of stimulus leads to developmental delay https://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/you/article-9741657/What-happened-Romanias-abandoned-children.html Homeless Romanian teenagers photographed in 2002 near a train station in Bucharest. At the time humanitarian groups said hundreds of children who escaped from orphanages or broken homes were living on the streets of Bucharest, surviving by begging, stealing or prostituting themselves https://www.pri.org/stories/2015-12...s-slaughterhouses-souls-now-they-want-justice There are those who will say any life even a brutal one of starvation abuse and neglect is better than no life but what would have occurred had this regime continued on? is America prepared for the return of orphanages as the adoption market becomes saturated?
In the USA, abortion laws would only create a thriving medical tourism industry. I do not believe there will be an influx of babies to adopt.
My point? Abortion laws cannot be enforced and have no benefit to society. For the sake of discussion, I am giving you the benefit of being 100% right and having unlimited resources, Please describe how you would use government might to enforce abortion laws without moving the goal post to other topics.
I am pro a woman's right to choose but I am still open to the views' of others. What I quoted, can you expound on this? Serious question.
With pleasure. While my personal belief is that abortion is wrong, using government might to force my beliefs onto others is far worse. The level of government interference required to enforce abortion laws is extreme and would only shield the true number of abortions from view while creating a government monster that will use this power to control other aspects of our lives. Abortions are already on the decline without government interference.
At what point do you believe it becomes too late to "mercy euthanize" someone to save them from a life of poverty? (And we don't even know for certain they will be poor, so what we are actually talking about is statistically likely poverty, not certain poverty)
Well. Look at what happened after the regime was over - abortion was legalised and the birth rate diminished as did the number of abandoned children. And those abortions would have occurred as most do - in the first ten weeks
The article fails to address the issue since illegal abortions are not as much of a problem as legal ones to begin with. Reducing legal abortions is the number one priority.
My bold. Just wanted to veer off topic for a moment and comment on this. This is precisely why we (those with a professional and/or personal interest) urgently need to review 'accepted wisdom' on Autism Spectrum Disorder. The evidence is overwhelming, but this very solid science has been quashed for reasons of political expediency.
How do you figure that making abortions reduce the rate of abortions because it certainly doesn’t https://www.guttmacher.org/perspectives50/abortion-and-after-legalization
Let’s look at this in a global context with some information from amnesty international https://www.amnesty.org/en/what-we-do/sexual-and-reproductive-rights/abortion-facts/ Legislation does NOT repeat NOT stop abortion - it just makes it unsafe. Now - question - how will you frame that legislation? Will you allow abortion to be performed to save the life of the woman?
Frankly the post above uses the same tactics American Democrats use daily. Failure to actually answer the question put to the poster above. The question did not involve the globe, it stuck to just Australia.
Democrat party bunkum. Do you know we are not discussing counties? We are discussing homeless children. And they live in Cities that Democrats control. If we decide to discuss poverty, we will do that in a separate thread.
To hear our Democrats chat this up, one might imagine their Democrats cities are ridden by crime, poverty and homeless kids. Which is true.
Why isn't it in the daily news how deadly getting pregnant is for women? Seems as many deaths as you allege, it would be a huge issue and one our Government would warn us should never happen. So again, less than .2 percent of all doctors do abortions. I believe that the over 99 percent refuse and we should follow the science.
Poor counties does not translate to homeless children. In America the homeless children are in Democrat managed cities in Democrat managed states.
Doesn't it? https://www.ansirh.org/sites/defaul...cess_to_abortion_improves_childrens_lives.pdf https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/1073110518804221?journalCode=lmechttps://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/1073110518804221?journalCode=lmec https://19thnews.org/2021/09/abortion-economy-poverty-texas-law/
The return of orphanages? Hahaha! As if there are zero children without parents today.....sad. Funny how the pro-abortionists are painting killing is alright because it is for the greater good. If you ask those who committed atrocities throughout history why they did it, it was always for the greater good.
