Pence condemns Republican Putin 'apologists' in speech to RNC donors

It couldn't have been easy to be Mike Pence this past 15 months but I am very pleased that he kept his oath to our country on January 6th, 2021 and continues to stand on the right side of history in spite of the threats, hatred and anger for a target that never should have been placed on his back.

He did his duty and clearly plans to continue to do so. I'm proud to call him a fellow American.

    What are your thoughts?

He is entitled to his incorrect opinion. There are no Putin apologists in the R party. Just democrat misrepresentation.

Dems have to spread this misinformation to distract from the failure this administration has been.

regardless, republicans are on the right side of history and have been for at least a couple of decades. I’m proud to see so many starting to see this. Even some Dems are changing course and becoming republican in everything but name which is fine by me.

Even Pence can see and identify the rot that is occurring in the Republican Party and is brace enough to call it out unlike so many that only do so after they have been ejected from the party from not being extreme enough.

We have Fox News producers being arrested overseas for trying to set up pro-Putin propaganda and congressional Republicans at white supremacist events where the audience is cheering Putin.

I may not agree with many of his policies but he does actually seem to care about the nation and the soul of his party.

Thanks for providing an example of democrat misrepresentation that I was referring to. It was obvious but an example is always nice.

What do you feel was misrepresented in the video?

“Can we give a round of applause for Russia?”

Or was it the “Pu-tin” chants?

Or the morons on the Republican team statement?

And, do NOT forget that it was our seated VP-Pence that stood up for our country and honored his oath.

It was our VP-Pence that engaged back-up for those severely injured Capitol Police officers when the Orange Stain refused to do his duty the second he saw they were in danger.

It was our VP-Pence and our Second Lady that respectfully attended our President-elect Biden/Vice-President-elect Harris' inauguration.

Despite his policies or his former alliances, he has shown us what a true PRO-America, PRO-American and honorable man does in the face of evil, bullying, threats and corruption.

We stand up and let our voices be heard.

There are those who obviously are pro-Putin/Russia, for whatever reason. I think it's to be contrarian for its own sake, but I also believe it to be wrong. While I said I didn't want to fight to defend Europe for Europe's sake(at the cost of Americans/America), that could not and never should be interpreted as support for Putin.

I sympathized with his bemoaning NATO on his borders, as we would feel the same if our borders were encroached, but I lost all sympathy with a naked attack on the Ukrainian State, as the Ukrainians have done nothing to deserve said attack. Ukrainian forces were never on the border of the Russians. And for Putin's Nazism claims, it's not his cities with missiles rained down or Ukrainians violating a ceasefire that he himself created.

Due to his actions, we cannot trust any word from the Russian Federation regarding even legitimate problems. For can a 'neutral State' exist with the threat of Russian arms? No, it's not possible. Any such lull in security would allow the Russians to strike. In 2008, in 2014 and in 2022.

I call for a demilitarized zone, a buffer between Russia and Europe. If this is to be held by a coalition of U.N forces then that's what it's going to have to take. We cannot have these wars flame up again, or Russian aggression. The U.S/world markets cannot take the instability of the European wars for a third time in a century.

I'd call for negotiations between all of the European States/Russia, a grand council if you will. The time to decide questions of the past 100 years has come.

Pence knows when to draw the line, which is becoming more rare in the Republican party.

There are a few strong Putin supporters (most of it not being actual support but trying to create some sympathy) in Republican circles, but not many. It was less than 10 or 20%, and since the full scale invasion of Ukraine, half of them are being quiet and much more cautious about any enthusiasm for Putin.

Overall, Republicans are not fans of Putin, but just seem to be less overall anti-Putin than the Left, which probably should reveal more about the Left than it does about Republicans.

Ironically, of course, Republicans would be much more in favor of military action to defend Ukraine than the Left would.

Who are these nameless faceless Putin apologists? I can easily find people who apologize for Marxist communism (to say nothing of actively propagating it). They're found in government, in big tech, in education, in the courts, everywhere. But for the life of me I cant find any Putin apologists. Where are they, how many are they? This country is neck deep in Marxist communists. Is it only a problem when they have an 'R' in front of their name?

Don’t think you’d have to look very far...how about those who were praising his “genius” and “savvy”...?

Here's my thoughts....you on the left take Donald Trumps words and try to make them say something he doesn't. It is blatantly deceptive. Most would admit Putin is "cunning" because if he wasn't, he would not have duped so many into doing what he is doing. By contrast, Brandon has done some pretty "dumb' things. In fact, I don't believe he has ever been right on one foreign policy matter. None of this is to say Trump is on the side of Putin. He just acknowledges that American leadership at the top lags behind Putin. In fact, I know Trump would handle the Ukraine situation far more aggressively than what Brandon has done. If Pence is trying to bracket Trump as a "Putin apologist" (and I am not at all sure he's doing that) he is just trying to politically position himself for future aspirations. Anyhow, leftists are just gobbling it up. It's all they have left.

Your Leninist sentiment is largely obvious by now. So many falsehoods in the above post, it's ridiculous! Pence is almost akin to Romney. He wants to court the establishment yet with claims to conservatism. I believe DeSantis will hand him his head in a bread basket!

Yes, we are aware the extreme right wing fascist side of the Republican Party wants Pence’s head in a basket but this is the first time I have seen someone calling for it to be a bread basket. Fascinating

Can you specifically list what in my post you believe to be a “falsehood” and I will gladly source it for you to ignore.

The level of denial is fascinating to watch. President suck & swallow basically knelt down in front of the cameras and swallowed a load from Putin, then went on to attack his own intelligence apparatus and America's strongest allies. What have Trumpers done? applaud wildly and tell us how great Putin is for standing up against 'the left'.

Now Putin once again invades a neighbour and suddenly they have to evade & deny. Funny and sad.

Facetiously referring to how effective the stagey of declaring portions of Ukraine to be 'independent' in order to move in as a 'peacekeeper' was =/= praising the man that done it. You might want to check out the actual interview and not the selectively edited narrative the MSM fabricated.

when the chips came down.......he demonstrated that his a lot more principled, ethical , and patriotic to the constitution........than his "boss" was.

He is right to call out those that are against freedom for Ukraine.

They are neither pro-Russia nor pro-Ukraine. They are pro-America and pro-facts. They were chearing the ban of Facebook after Facebook had engaged in extreme censorship of many American people. Why shouldnt they boo and chear when Russia does something they like or don't like.
The requirement that we are supposed to hate Russia and swallow and promote all propoganda against Russia is stupid and against my personality and better judgment. I simply cannot fall in line with mob type thinking. I am an independent individual just as all American people should try to be.
Russia aggression is wrong, and I acknowledge that, but the mob can go **** itself when it comes to the rest of their games.
