How was she more qualified? Pigmentation is not a qualification.

Actually Ronald Reagan was the first to pledge to appoint a woman, Sandra did not seem to mind either.

Thomas was picked because of his color. He didn't mind.
O'Connor was the only choice for Reagan, she didn't mind.

I think that she's black and female has the RW all up in arms. They still haven't got over a black skin president.

Judge Jackson has served as a judge for nearly a decade.
    • Judge Jackson sits on the prestigious U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit — considered second only to the Supreme Court in influence.
    • Judge Jackson served for years as a trial court judge — and if confirmed, she’d be one of only two members of the current court with that critical experience.
    • Judge Jackson has authored more than 500 opinions in her time on the bench. A conservative former federal appellate judge praised her “careful approach” and “extraordinary judicial understanding.”
    • Judge Jackson is the first Supreme Court nominee with extensive criminal defense experience since Thurgood Marshall in 1967.
    • She is the first former federal public defender to serve on the court.
    • Judge Jackson served as a law clerk for Stephen Breyer, whom she called a “role model” for consensus building and working with those with different views.

As to a comparison between the two Barrett received a ‘qualified’ rating while Jackson received a ‘highly qualified’ rating.
Kavanaugh wasn’t even rated because he has virtually no qualifications.

Odd that suddenly qualifications matter to the extreme right wing.

If she were a biologist, she wouldn't be on the list for USSC, nominated, and confirmed.

Why would a biologist even be qualified for USSC?

All that and she's stumped when asked to define a woman...even though she is one.

That's the best pick ya had?

Apparently it's the only thing qualified to define simple terms in progressive land.

At least you don't have to talk about some fake frauded election anymore.
That should be good for the RW.

To bad the Senator lady of the right wing didn't know what a woman is either and had to ask. The RW can't pick them any better than that?

I wasn't born yet when Regan did it so I couldn't have gotten upset. And yeah it's just as pandering and insulting when the other tribe does it.

Claiming to be no better than your alternative makes you just as bad with higher taxes.

Really? Why don't I take issue with Clarence Thomas? See this isn't any kind of new frontier it's just overlap between two that have already happened.

I see, so an African-American man wasn't "good enough".
    Neither was a white woman.

I think making blanket assumptions about a large group of people is silly.
This is what I meant earlier when I spoke of black privilege..

It seems like in your mind any criticism of her cannot be due to any other reason but that she is black not that she can't simply define what a woman is and she's going to sit on the highest court in the land deciding cases that require someone to have at least the common sense to define a woman.

What would have been so hard about simply saying an adult female of the human species?

But no our beef with her can't be because of that it has to be because she's black right?

Refusing to define what a woman is brands her as a progressive ideologue. Certainly not the sort of person we need sitting on the supreme Court.
