I fly into the States Wednesday. In quarantine for my organisation and tested positive today, Sunday. My mistake was flying via Dublin, where they were undertake preclearance in Ireland, not port of entry. So the flight was under US regulations. No masks in sight. They lost my luggage as well. I'm boosted, so symptoms are mild, but certainly noticeable. I'm mostly on my back, taking a couple of short, slow walks each day.
Have a speedy recovery. I had the China Virus two years ago. I still can't taste things like I used to, but it was nowhere near as bad as the time I had "walking pneumonia". Hang in there and good luck.
Where I live it's becoming rampant. The hype isn't in the news...but I'm seeing real life that everyone (except me of course) seems to be getting it. I hope your symptoms are mild and that you recover soon.
I agree with @CKW. I have it again (first time in November 2020) and I have absolutely NO risk factors. So, it must know how to read street signs or has GPS. LOL
Yeah, something's happening at the moment. My entire family has had it in different parts of the world.
That sucks big time but vaxed and boosted, you are in good company. Biden has it too. Hang in there man. Hope you feel better soon. I just got my second booster shot. It's definitely on the rise again.
Interesting. I don’t know anyone who has had covid within the past 6 months. I’ve heard rumors of people having it, and the media is claiming covid is resurging, but nothing first hand. It’s an election year, smells like scamdemic v2.
Spot on. I watch northern blue states going nuts over the China Virus (and gun control, and violence, etc.) and thank God our Governor outlawed all the mask, school closings and other tyranny accompanying the silly panic.
I wish you a speedy recovery. So many people I know are coming down with it. In the last month 3 co-workers have caught it and my sister and her husband tested positive prior to going on a cruise. Lucky everyone symptoms have been very mild.
Sorry, I misread. You have it right now. I hope you recover soon! I'm curious, did you end up getting vaxed? I remember you were on the fence.
Hopefully you will do okay. For me the quarantining was far more a drag than the illness. I had a mild sore throat--which I hadn't had since having my tonsils taken out as a kid--some runny nose action but more like I would get on a heavy pollen day than sick sick. A little tired.
Well I hope it's short lived and that there is no lingering effects. Just FYI I had it twice both times I got it from a vaccinated person and I wasn't boosted or vaccinated at all and symptoms are very mild. I had colds that were worse so this strand of covid that's going around now it's past the omicron it's mild and I wouldn't worry about it.
It's definitely bad at the moment. I'm in the public healthcare system, and it's quite overwhelming unfortunately. Meantime, I've also managed to avoid it thus far. Quite odd, given I'm around it every day! I work with others who also haven't had it yet, and we do sometimes wonder how that can be, given we've all had way more exposure than the general public. There's a lot of thought going into the possibility of genetic immunity, and how that might be crucial to ongoing research.
Glad to hear that it was mild for you It really varies by person. All 3 of us had it in Dec 20 My teenage son just felt blah and had the sniffles I had recurring fevers and cold chills for a week My wife had a non-stop fever and bad coughing for a week+ I finally took her to the ER, she wasn't admitted, but they prescribed some things and it started to go away within a few days
Sure neither is the cold or flu or many many other ailments there will always be people with frail health and I'm sorry that they have to deal with it.
