I know exactly, what I'm talking about. I have a horrific past, being abused, and doing stupid crap, that I could have gotten killed from. bad lifestyles, that I regret. I have a lot of first hand experience. I'm sorta like a democrats worst nightmare. A very liberal past, and now a God loving Conservative.

You really should have a third choice. Radical left Democrat politicians will move to get rid of Christmas when it is politically possible. That might take a generation or two when woke parents have taught their children to have no joys or expectations. So long as there is one hungry or sad person in the entire world, you can never be happy.
You're not being specific enough. Many Democratic politicians are Christians. Why would they want to get rid of a traditional celebration of Christ's birth?
There is no such thing, as a true believer of Christ, that votes Democrat. For, if Mary had Aborted Jesus, then he would not of been able to die for our sins. It's more detailed on my profile. What is the core of what Republicans have stood for, for years? God, Family, and Country. What is part of the reason, that America was started? We were fleing religious ideals, and wanting our own. America's Morality core principles is our belief in God. Destroy that, and you've taken a huge chunk of peoples mind and values, and safety in general out of America. Democrat Politicians want to destroy Christmas, so they can destroy Christ. So they can take God out of America. Because, believers of Christ celebrate the birth of Jesus, on Christmas. Democrat Politicians want to take morality out of America, and God represents Morality.

Competing ideologies. For most of my life we celebrated Christmas and now we have the Holidays. In school we had Christmas break and now it's winter break. The erosion has been slow but it is picking up steam. Small towns used to decorate the main streets and there would be a Nativity scene. Not sure how important or trivial you might see these things but it would have been a hard sell back in the day. Now it's "oh you're offended, I'm sorry" and down come the town trees.
Well, I'll have to respectfully disagree with you. I personally know of many wonderful Christians that are democrats.
Not the biggest Carter fan when it comes to politics necessarily, but he's a great ambassador for Christianity.
Really the main example I could think of, so thought I'd throw it out there. Carter and McCain are the olive branches in my family during the holidays. When politics get heavy, we just bring one of them up and everybody kind of grumbles "Well, yeah, seems like a decent guy." Again, not saying anything about their politics, just them as people.

Politics is off limits at any of my holiday family get togethers. Politics will be around every other day. No need to discuss it on a day that is yearly.
We like to say the same, but it always comes up. My parents lean right these days and my sister is on the left. And they host. And they live next to one another. And I'm supposed to be the family diplomat. Christmas is normally fine, I think because it is more focused on the kids. Thanksgiving can be a bloodbath.

Nope, Democrats love Christmas would Republicans try to make Christmas a Christian only holiday? Christmas is a Secular Federal Holiday everyone can enjoy, bring your own religion or not, up to you
