Liberal News Site Walks Back Claim That CPAC Speaker Wants To ‘Eradicate’ Trans People

Liberal news outlet The Daily Beast walked back its initial headline claiming The Daily Wire podcast host Michael Knowles wants the “transgender community” to be “eradicated.”

Knowles called for the ideology of transgenderism to be “eradicated from public life entirely” during his Saturday speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). The Daily Beast initially published the headline, “Michael Knowles Says Transgender Community Must Be ‘Eradicated’ At CPAC,” indicating that he referred to transgender people rather than the ideology.

“There can be no middle way in dealing with transgenderism,” Knowles said. “It is all or nothing. If transgenderism is true, if men really can become women, then it’s true for everybody of all ages. If transgenderism is false, as it is, if men really can’t become women, as they cannot, then it’s false for everybody too. And if it’s false, then we should not indulge it. Especially since that indulgence requires taking away the rights and customs of so many people.”

Really? Why did the lying liberal internet rag walk back the accusation then?

 

These are the people that we are told just have a “different perspective”, “why can both sides not find common ground”, “both sides are the same” — on camera these people are saying this so I can only imagine what is being said behind closed doors.

Last year they cheered being domestic terrorists and this year is already off to a great start calling for the eradication of transgenderism in public life.

Human garbage. I hope the left and moderates start fighting the war the right has been fighting for a generation.

 

Actually it is the right that is just now beginning to engage in a war the secular progressive left has been waging for decades.

 

Would you all mind pointing to where he said "transgender people" or "transgender community? He didn't. He's talking about an ideology. Not people. Not communities. Now you may believe that they are one and the same. But that is your belief. Not his. And a supposed news agency doing what The Daily Beast did, is a biased interpretation of what was said because they are putting their own view on it rather than the view of the person that said what was actually said. IE: Biased reporting. And in this case it could have gotten them in legal trouble. Otherwise they wouldn't have retracted it.

 

I mean, one can't prevent a schizophrenic from hearing disembodied voices and one can't prevent a person from changing genders but one can prevent the advocacy of schizophrenic and transgender behavior from the public square.

And yes, I'm equating schizophrenic behavior with transgender behavior.

Knowles made a stupid, hateful and bigoted comment. The press accurately reports is.

Knowles claims he never said it, despite him saying it and folks decry the press for accurately quoting it.

 

Knowles made a distinction in his mind between the transgender ideology and the transgender people. I can imagine that to many, there isn't a difference but to him, there was a difference and well, to use Liberal terms, we have to accept his differences right?

 

How would you feel if someone would say they would like to eradicate the Christian faith, would you make the distinction between saying that the would like to eradicating Christians? It's always good to put yourself in someone else's shoes and think about how transgender people feel about what this guy said. If you had a friend or relative who is transgender, would you still be okay with what this guy said?

 

You are free to accept what you like. Personally, I read past the headlines on this topic.

 

I've been thinking about something similar to this. And the truth is, in this world we live in we can't help but antagonize each other. Even inadvertently, we antagonize each other. And so, since it's inevitable that there's antagonistic forces the logical conclusion is to weather the storm of the negative things said. Those anti-LGBT are never not going to be anti-LBGT, anymore than those pro-LBGT(for which I am pro-LBGT to be clear) are ever going to stop supporting them. So I can be okay with what this guy said, while disagreeing with it. It's not some moral offense I need to worry over.

 

Disagreeing over policy is fine.

But this clown Knowles is disagreeing over the existence of some people, which seems to be bigoted nonsense.

I believe the fly in the ointment is girls athletics. That is never going to be accepted as reality. Women fought too hard for the right to have women's sports that they could compete in on a balanced field that men didn't dominate.
