The Telegraph has an article about the insane "Net Zero" policies in the EU, which is going to pay farmers in Ireland to kill their cows. In an attempt to "reduce CO2 output" in Europe, these policies are going to end up making Europe import more meat and dairy products from other parts of the world, basically just killing the domestic agriculture industry. Ireland's mooted cow massacre is a warning to net zero Britain, 2 June 2023, Jamie Blackett, The Telegraph free version of article here for a limited time: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/worl...p&cvid=ceb649aa488f46159547fa731ada9b29&ei=14 "Spending vast sums of taxpayer's money on destroying productive animals would be a perfect summation of the net zero madness infecting the West." "British beef and dairy farmers are now very jittery. It seems increasingly clear that there is an eco-modernist agenda to do away with conventional meat altogether. ... many of the world's politicians are on board."

if true, that is the stupidest thing I have heard this is a push by vegans and some Christians to stop people from eating meat, they have gone too far this is the same groups that told us saturated fat was bad, and now that that is showing not to be true (it's really the seed oils that are bad), this is next
this is why breakfast cereal was born, to replace eggs and bacon, to make people less sexually active "The Secret Ingredient in Kellogg’s Corn Flakes Is Seventh-Day Adventism" https://www.smithsonianmag.com/hist...-corn-flakes-seventh-day-adventism-180964247/ "Such evils, she taught, led to the morally and physically destructive “self-vice” of masturbation and the less lonely vice of excessive sexual intercourse."
Do you realize that your post is misleading? You take a quote, somewhat out of context, from someone (Ellen White) who really had no direct hand in the "invention," of Kellogg's Corn Flakes. The cereal was developed not to affect anyone's sexual urges, but to provide a quick, easy breakfast for John Harvey Kellogg, while he was crunched for time, in medical school (which the White's were paying for, so that member of their congregation, John, could serve as doctor to their entire flock). While his view of grains as being healthy, probably came from "Sister White," there is no reason to believe this was John's attempt to make anyone less sexually active. In fact, there was a sizable list of other things, which "led to the... 'self-vice' of masturbation, and the less lonely vice of excessive sexual intercourse," including the drinking of alcohol, and the stimulant coffee, the use of drugs, and the wearing of tight dresses. Also, what turned Corn Flakes into a household name, was John Kellogg's younger brother, Will, wanting to make a buck; the older, Flake inventer, wanted to keep this food for those visiting the Whites' health sanitarium. <Snip> She told her Seventh-day Adventist flock that they must abstain not only from eating meat but also from using tobacco or consuming coffee, tea, and, of course, alcohol. She warned against indulging in the excitatory influences of greasy, fried fare, spicy condiments and pickled foods; against overeating; against using drugs of any kind; and against wearing binding corsets, wigs, and tight dresses. Such evils, she taught, led to the morally and physically destructive “self-vice” of masturbation and the less lonely vice of excessive sexual intercourse. <End Snip>
she got is so wrong with the not eating meat part, turns out it's very healthy..... but she was right that not eating meat missed with your hormones and reduces sex drive, not to mention just general health of the mind and body bacon and eggs was a much healthier meal for our children, I think most know today that breakfast cereal is not the best choice for health now we got Vegans trying to stop people from eating meat, and trying to trick people into believing it's for climate change, don't buy that nonsense
sadly many Corporations want us to live off of high carbs and seed oils... not a combination for a healthy life... but very profitable people can eat however they want, but government doing things like this because they are anti-meat, takes away the choice from those that want to eat healthy and that is wrong
Does that mean that you don't believe the science, around Global Warming/Climate Change? That you believe vegetarians have somehow bought off, most of the science community?
means I do not believe cow farts are contributing to climate change if that is what you are asking veganism has become more a religion then a way for healthy eating, and we all know religion in science\government often equals bias unfortunately
I don't think it would hurt, for you to do a little basic research into methane gas. Unless you think that the government-vegan Puppet Masters, have gone back and edited every chemistry text written, which includes this gas?
I do not believe that nonsense that we need to kill cows due to cow farts, you are free to believe what you want Ironically, vegans fart more than carnivores, maybe we should outlaw veganism?
Very interesting video. But one would never get the idea, from your comments about weaponized Corn Flakes, meant to remove our sex drive, or those which seemed to show your ignorance of the effects of methane gas, that there was any factual basis for your statements. IOW, you were not, to all appearances, making any kind of argument, only making statements which, you must have realized, lacking any support (such as this video), could only be taken to be the remarks of a crank. I would note that the article you linked for your Corn flake point, did not back up your contention, thereby adding to the impression, that none of the radical ideas you were promoting, had much in the way of hard fact, behind them. In consideration of those things-- that you were pushing very unconventional ideas, without explaining them, and without offering sources which actually supported these contentions-- I also have to ask, what's the reason for your your reply's seemingly condescending, if not even slightly hostile, tone, in answer to my questioning you?
sadly the Seventh-Day Adventism comments were true, maybe it's you that is ignorant of the facts, but hey, whatever " I also have to ask, what's the reason for your your reply's seemingly condescending, if not even slightly hostile, tone, in answer to my questioning you?" look in the mirror
sure.... "Corn Flakes Were Created to Prevent Masturbation" https://www.realclearscience.com/blog/2015/07/corn_flakes_were_created_to_prevent_masturbation.html "Partly to help his followers and patients stick to their bland, unstimulating diets, Kellogg and his brother invented corn flakes in 1878" Vegans today have mostly taken over the fight against meat.....
I already replied to this post, explaining why-- to people who could read-- it did not say what you'd suggested. http://www.politicalforum.com/index...rs-to-kill-their-cows.610973/#post-1074252314 Naturally, if you couldn't correctly understand the article, I guess there's not much reason to hope you would understand my reply to your false assertions, about the article. You'd responded to my reply, with conspiracy talk of vegans bamboozling the world, with a Global Warming hoax. This, FYI, made you sound less than credible (on top of misrepresenting the article, of your prior post)-- I reiterate, just for the sake of clarifying, that your posting of this article a second time, does not make it support its title, that "Corn Flakes were created to prevent Masturbation," any better than it had, the first time. That title is obviously only meant to attract reader interest; but the facts it then relates, do not bear out the title's contention. But sure, accept the title of every article online, as a statement of fact, if you want. I'll read a little bit deeper than that, myself.
FreshAir has a really bad habit of posting provocative statements that almost seem intended to derail the thread discussion off topic, and often have that effect. I have pointed this out to FreshAir before.
Irish beef is the best available in Europe. That being said, European beef is generally substandard by US standards. That's why the French invented all sorts of sauces to make it palatable. The Germans cook beef into oblivion to make it edible. They dob't really raise beef cattle. When Bessy stops giving milk... they eat beef. (German pork, however, is wonderful.) It takes about an acre to raise a beef cow properly. That means a lot of open land. In Europe its difficult to stand anywhere and not be able to see a church steeple. Wide open land is rare.
