Nikki Haley would DESTROY Biden. So shouldn't the entire Republican machine rally around her?

If you have to ask me and it's your OP, then you likely missed the point you were trying to make. My point is simple, Haley won't be the nominee nor do I think Trump will pick her to be a running mate. The R base is simply too extreme NOW and given his past four years in office, if he picked her, she accepted and they won the 2024 election, she'd end up being an corrupt accomplice and history won't look kindly on her.

Joe Biden is not as sharp as he was but he still has the very temperament to represent all of the country and most people are well aware his heart is generally in the right place.

    Ding ding ding!

Much of the GOP primary vote isn't interested in continuing this war-with-no-benefit and the associated costs and risks that come with it. Haley, either out of conviction or a political need to prove she's a tough guy as a woman candidate, wants to go in the opposite direction.

If you're gung ho for the war you should just vote for the Biden stand in again.

Well foreign policy doesn't tend to be on voters' minds when they vote.

I don't "HAVE" to ask you. But I'm asking: what do YOU think my point is?

And what "place" is that exactly?

Woah woah woah! Haley is one thing, but on what basis can we be confident that Christie or HUTCHINSON will win?

Well you make a good point. When I asked: "shouldn't the entire Republican machine rally around her? I'm talking Republican politicians and conservative media", I could have included the actual Republican voters, but it seems that they would first need to be convinced by the aforementioned Republican politicians and conservative media. Seems to me that it should be an easy message, in the form of a simple question: do you HATE Joe Biden and want to see him kicked out of office? If yes, then vote for Haley in the primaries."

"Remove him from consideration?" How would that work?

Yet you still ask, so either you are unable to relay it or more likely just want to keep the thread active, feel free to make your point, again, if necessary.

"place", Biden has a working moral compass and the majority of Americans know it. Playing dumb isn't discourse.

No, it's to get your understanding of what my point is. You seem to think that my point is that Haley should be the nominee. Well no, my point is that she is the best placed to beat Biden, and so from this comes my question in the thread title.

And what is this "working moral compass?"

Seems like you are reaching for a strawman angle since you keep hiding behind questions, if you think you have a point that's not getting across, ask it or keep the running games going. At the least, it will be some exercise.
If you don't understand what a "working moral compass" is, explaining it to you would be a futile endeavor. Or, you can keep "pecking" away......instead.

Well here is one definition of moral compass: "Your moral compass is your personal set of beliefs and values regarding right and wrong." Your problem is that you have not outlined what you think his "set of beliefs and values" is. You're being very vague, and I don't blame you! It's pretty hard to articulate a defence of the old man! :roflol:

They will be doing that anyway. The reason they haven't is that it makes Biden an automatic lame duck when they do it. Your party will be running Gavin Newsom in my view.

I agree that the voting public is politically incompetent for the most part but the system is still superior no authoritarianism.

And you would lose that bet every time.

Your party is the one that is limiting women's rights or wants to, at least from the fringe elements within your own party such as Ann Coulter and a guy named Briggs. Again with gender identity, it is chemical and psychological in nature, needs to be handled by qualified medical professionals and it needs to stay within the patient-physician relationship that your party wants to demolish and dictate to by a group of politicians who would not know the difference between the cerebral cortex and the corpus cavernosum.

I would disagree with the GOP. There is still time, but the big decision will come when the Republican National Convention and Trump has been found guilty of at least one indictment so far. Thus, will the GOP hold true to their stance about the rule of law or will they find ways to circumvent the rule of law in order to rule, not govern?

Look at the current GOP polling and that will give you all the answers that you need.

Biden is currently losing to everyone. What's the point in voting for someone who may not be notably different than Biden on Key issues. Neocons are not notably different in their approach to a good many issue that Democrats, be it never ending wars or illegal immigration.

Which women's rights is Ann trying to limit?

What does this have to do with letting men in women's locker rooms and in women's competitions?
