It's the same obtuse and ridiculous notion of gun confiscation. A task where it would be easier to build Noah's ark.

How would it accomplish that? Do you think criminals are going to register their guns?

Do you think lawful citizens would cooperate with a criminal and sell their gun to them if that means the gun remains to be registered on that lawful citizens, who suddenly committed a crime as an accomplice of whatever crime the criminal is going to do?

I said that there's no reason to support gun registration.
    And you replied with:
So, again, And gun registration would change this how?

No, I don't think a law abiding citizen would sell their gun to a criminal.

Do you think criminals are going to register their guns?

    As of last evening,

Chicago shootings: At least 29 shot, 3 killed in weekend gun violence across city, CPD says

Same story every weekend, but this isn't important to liberals and Democrats. They are more interested in going after law abiding citizens and taking their guns from them.

even if he tries to ban some-that should be opposed. don't you understand the issue is this-does a POS like Biden have the constitutional power to ban commonly owned guns or not. if he can ban one, he can ban them all and his track record is trying to ban more and more

Ok.. it seems you 2 do not get it.

Let's say Chickpea is a law abiding citizen and buys a gun.
Than the gun gets registered on Chickpea.
After some years Chickpea wants to sell it and so puts it on sale.
Turtledude shows up and wants to buy it, but doesn't want to have the gun registered on it's name.

And so if Chickpea got a choice of either not selling the gun, or selling the gun without registered the sale.
So all the government knows about the gun is that the owner is STILL Chickpea as far as they are concerned.

A crime with the gun gets made. The gun is found. They trace that gun to Chickpea, as last legally owned gun.
And than Chickpea loses it's right of owning guns, for being a mule / supplier to the black criminal gun market.

But Chickpea knows this, and so won't sell the gun to Turtledude.
And so Turtledude doesn't have a gun to commit a crime.
    Happy days.

Now do you think that criminals are going to register the guns they have now?

Ahhh! Here we go again. Another Marxist, Communist, Nazi attempt to ban guns and disarm those radical Americans who would stand up to protect the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution. They may have something there. Afterall, they have seemed to be gaining ground on silencing those who have been trying to keep the First Amendment from being allowed if it goes against their dogma. It is about time to realize that these Marxists are playing long ball.

    You don't get it.

You think when party A sells a gun to party B, that it's up to party B if they register the gun or not. That won't be the case.
Party A must register they sold it to party B. Therefor it's not the criminal who registers it, but the previous owner.
And the previous owner gets told the sale may not happen by the authorities, when party B is criminal....just like your random gun store.

Yes, you've explained this and I understand.

What I'm asking you are criminals going to register the guns that they currently own right now?

That technology is not nearly robust enough or reliable enough for field conditions.

Is that what the traffic cop is doing when he seizes me under the 4th amendment?
Is that what cops responding to an active shooter do when they fill the ****er full of holes?
That's all voluntary compliance is it?

No, laws are enforced at the point of a gun on pain of death.
