What criminal case? And how would any such ruling preclude a decision the Trump is civilly (NOT criminally) liable for fraud?

The criminal case against the Trump Org has already resulted in convictions, and it is still active. I think he's just making **** up. It wouldn't surprise me, by the way, if there are more criminal charges after this civil case is over.

NY State AG for NY State
    The state
400% inflation above comps average is not 'subjective' it is fraud.
Moreover,. it's not the only fraud in the indictment. Read the indictment.
Irrelevant. Fraudulent applications are against NY State law.

The big crime to banks is that the fraudster gets more of the loan pie, leaving less for others, without deserving it.
to insurance companies, understand it this way, if everyone gave fraudulent applications, insurance premiums would rise, costing society more than it would, otherwise, it's similar to the kind of crime counterfeiting causes. It's hard to see the damage if you look at it parochially, but easier to see it if it was done by everyone.

Since the NY DA chose not to indict Trump on the crime of fraud which was applied to Trump Org (choosing some other fraud issue) James indicted him civilly (which is all she can do, per NY rules for AG).

I think those things are independent. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if Bragg was waiting to see how the civil case goes before making a decision. I think he still has the option of bringing criminal charges against Trump.

She filed the complaint.... that's all you asked.. nobody has to be in the situation you suggest to notify the AG/world about fraudulent valuations occuring..

If you want deeper answers, ask deeper questions...

    Best summed up by BX4

"In fact, that parable is perfectly appropriate. You believe there have been false claims about him in the past. Now that the claim of wrongdoing is real, you still think it is a false claim. It isn’t. He committed fraud."

The boy who cried wolf was lying the first few times. He admitted to it.

Yup, even he had more class than some of our democrat leaders who lead us down this cry wolf path which now hurts the ability to assess Trumps current actions due to their b******** the previous years.

It would appear that he inflated the value of his assets for the purpose of getting a loan. It would also appear that the bank loaned the money without an appraisal. I do have a few questions:

    Was the loan repaid?
Could the golf resort be developed into luxury condos?

If what dems did made it difficult for you to assess Trump, you need to do some soul searching

From what I've read, I don't think Mar a Lago could be converted into residential property. He took a tax benefit to agree to that. And it doesn't matter if the loan was repaid. The only thing that matters in this case is if the financial statements contained false information.

Tish James is one of our "democrat leaders" now? Huge stretch there...

I'm sure you couldn't pick her out of a lineup with Maxine Waters, Fani Willis, and Judge Chutkan...

The judge's ruling is that Mar-A-Lago is only worth $18M which has no basis in reality. This is what happens when Democrats run elections with unopposed extremist judges. I'm not sure why you believe these valuations are "fact." Why don't you support this "fact" with evidence? Why was Mar-A-Lago worth $18M? Who is the aggrieved party? On what evidence would an appellate court agree that Mar-A-Lago is worth $18M? Do you have a comparable property you are basing that valuation on? Is it a crime for a property owner to over-estimate the value of a property?

Another blatant misreading of the ruling.

    Right
I grew up 20 miles from where the Woodstock festival was. You know how many people I've meet here in South Dakota that say they were there. I don't consider them pathological liars.

I don't think America is that irrational. Then again, Trump won in the past, so maybe our country really is that incompetent.
