Since Ronald Reagan, it has been unprecedented in every year. It was unprecedented with Reagain, GWB, Clinton, Obama, Trump, and Biden. The issue with the debt is really the public debt, not the "IOUs" from the SS Trust Fund that Congress borrows every year as well.

We have a revenue issue when we don't have enough tax revenues to meet our basic obligations. Then we have a spending issue in which we really don't take care of the debt drivers: SS, Medicare, and the Defense Budget. If you take away all the other government functions that the general fund pays for, we will STILL have a deficit, and we will have an increase in tax evasion since no enforcement of laws would be enforced as well.

You don't have to wait. Just look it up yourself. It's not hard and I know you have the technology.

Trump added 8 trillion to national debt.

45 other presidents combined added 26 trillion combined.

    Whataboutism.

Trump did not reduce the national debt any more than anyone else in a very long time.

Those of us who want less spending don't have the power to do anything about it. Those with the power want to spend even more. So don't try to put it on the public.

It’s easy to suggest cut this and cut that when you know those suggestion mean nothing.

But when you are in power and cutting government spending means American go to bed hungry, or single mom can’t afford a housing or school system needs to cut jobs, or entire world economy go on fire ( TARP in 2008) or in foreign country people die, “spending cut” became really hard.

The reason no one in US government ever cut spending is because the whole concept is oxymoron. It sound good on campaign but in real world it doesn’t work. The solution is never spending cut, the solution is generating revenue.

Bullshit. Every day, ordinary Americans reduce their debt by cutting their spending.

As we can see from your post, the reason why Demokrats refuse to cut spending is because Demokrats think government is and should be the answer to everything.

When Republicans controlled both chambers in 2017, how much debt was reduced via budget cuts?

Since the dawn of civilization, it is the progressive keep moving mankind to future. If conservative could keep things their way then children would learn in school “ earth is the center of universe” or someone who practice medicine is a witch, who should be burn after priest condemn her to hell.

This is why talking to conservatives about how government should be funded or work is complete useless.

Conservative think US government run like I run my home.

Only when a democrat is president. Notice how articles about the US reaching a new debt record everyday were absent under Trump?

When in 2017 did Republicans possess a filibuster proof majority in the Senate? (FYI, that's 60+ seats)

When did Demokrats agree to cut spending? Reform entitlements?

The answer to all 3 questions is never, which also happens to be the answer to when Demokrats will ever agree to cut spending.

This is why talking to Leftists about how government should be budgeted and work is completely useless. I'm not a conservative, and I don't care how you run your home.

Again, if ordinary Americans can balance a budget, so can their representatives in government. You act like this is some magic act but it's not.

Furthermore, your post reveals yet another reason why we're $34 trillion in debt and on the hook for another $211 trillion in unfunded liabilities. Leftists & Demokrats constantly make excuses for why the government shouldn't operate within its means, and that's to be expected from people who think government is and should be the answer to everything.

When I cancel my Netflix subscription , it doesn’t start genocide in Africa.

When my neighbor cancel his cable TV , people who live on food stamps don’t go hungry.

Problem with conservative is that they think “ordinary American doing business “ is same as doing government business.

You are right, talking to me about government will be complete waste of our time. We live in different universe and I have no interest wasting my time.

Pity. For some reason you've failed to include income in the form of capital gains in your pretty little chart. Instead you've chosen to focus solely on direct wealth transfers in the form of salary and wages which we both know form an ever diminishing proportion of an taxpayer total annual revenue stream the higher the tax bracket that particular citizen is. Now why would that be?

    And to further illustrate my point see link below;

    https://www.cnbc.com/2022/02/08/her...till-pay-0percent-in-capital-gains-taxes.html

    Go back and do better.

You don't need a filibuster proof majority. Spending bills can be passed throug budget reconciliation.

Republicans don't want to cut spending...they only want to campaign on it and then blame dems when they cannot get the job done.

The graph that really really tells the story is the one below. Big tech has certainly made it unsearchable. The only place that you can still find it is on twitter. I remember that this data was easily searchable between 2005-2015. This is why America is really over. We will be the 3rd world and the middle class will need to live in armed fortress communities as they do in other 3rd world countries. The only truly safe countries in a century will be in Asia...... and only if they don't decide to replace their indigenous communities when they hit their imploding population bombs.

The reason that America has deficits is because Democrats have client populations and ensure their votes by passing taxpayer money to them. Stats do not lie. The elites are trading away our future and our children's future for power today. I have no idea what is going to happen if a major war comes up.... conservative white families are leaving the Armed Forces in droves.
