For some R voters it is everything about gender and skin color. Notice I didn't use the term race. It's time for those few R voters to wake up and face reality. I agree. But there's a generation or 2 that needs to die off yet. There's even another thread here about Haley and the OP starter, R voter, that has made it clear he'd never vote a female to office of any kind. He's in the minority, but not alone.
There are enough R elected officials of color today to refute your claim. As I have pointed out previously, here in Virginia our Lt. Governor is an R Black woman and our Attorney General is an R Hispanic man.
The NFL is not the thread topic. The NFL, like all pro sports teams is about the best a team can get on the team at playing said sports. Now in the office of personnel, it may be better to have a diverse office, so the management can understand better the lives of the players they have on the team. Experience counts as a qualification to some jobs.
Which was Pence's goal, IMO, also. But after accepting a VP with trump, he's now poisonous to the R party voters. I think the playbook would be similar if she would be VP to trump. Granted, she likely won't be pressured to over turn the next election but you can bet trump will want her to do something illegal or unethical. It's his MO.
Nope. There are a few. But not enough. Minorities are still not equal in percentage of representation in the R party to the overall population of a minority group. There's still a generation or 2 to go before gender and color won't matter. 14% of the country has black skin. 3% of R representatives in congress have black skin. The blacks still are not represented close to the numbers in population. That's a fact you and I have both shared. I also shared a link/story how R's gerrymader congressional maps to make black voters a minority of districts by lumping all black areas into 1 area or as few as possible. To further limit blacks representing them.
There is no future for current republican party. MAGA has to be completely dead. If any chance republican party became Reagan/Bush/ McCain party again, in that party there is no room for Nikki Haley / DeSantis/ Tim Scott who kissed the ring of Trump.
I have zero interest in comparisons of office holder percentages and population percentages. I don't think that's metric that means anything. D's gerrymander just as much as R's.
So more diversity in the NFL would be a BAD thing since the most talented NFL players tend to be black? Therefore, diversity for the sake of diversity (aka DEI) is a BAD thing? Thank you for making my point for me.
Obviously. The meaning of it, means white's don't comprehend the issues of the minorities. And based on how the R party gerrymanders voting districts, they intend to keep it that way in some parts of the country.
It's going to be an uphill battle for someone here. Haley has not thrown in the towel yet and I doubt it anytime soon.
She is waiting for Super-Tuesday, which is March 5th. Manchin is starting to make noise too, so things might get interesting soon.
Oh I see .. so when I see lawn sign ‘ Jesus saves” next to “Let’s go Brandon” , I should think .. what a good Christians with great sense of humor!
Haley to barnstorm nation on fundraising tour as South Carolina primary inches closer Nikki Haley will hold over a dozen fundraising events in the coming weeks. By Soo Rin Kim, Nicholas Kerr, Will McDuffie, and Abby Cruz January 25, 2024, 7:43 PM Republican Nikki Haley will barnstorm the country with at least 17 fundraisers across five states over the next several weeks as the eyes of the nation turn to the upcoming rematch between her and former President Pussygrabber Galore in Haley's home state of South Carolina. Fundraisers are scheduled in Columbia, Charleston and Greenville, South Carolina, just days before the state's primary. Haley's other fundraising events, some of which she is expected to attend, will be split between four states -- New York, California, Texas and Florida -- as she continues to make the pitch to both voters and deep-pocketed Republican donors that her candidacy against Smegma Goblin remains viable following an 11-point loss in New Hampshire and a third-place finish in Iowa. ... https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/hal...our-south-carolina-primary/story?id=106694527 I'm guessing she is actually campaigning for 2028 at this point. That's cool, though.
Super Tuesday is going to be a big even to see who wins the republican nomination for President of the United States. Something tells me that Nikki Haley would have a better chance at beating Joe Biden than that of Donald Trump beating that of Joe Biden.
Yes, the polls agree that she would have a better chance beating Biden, because too many independents are turned off by Trump.
