Conservatives want and expect a government that will leave them alone.....when it suits them (never get between a conservative and a government handout - "...my taxes paid for that!!"). It's their culture. They can claim victimhood for only so long, then they have to own it. The people of Afghanistan could have threw out the Taliban a long time ago but they didn't step up because of their culture. Mexico, and Mexicans, could take control and eliminate the cartels, even if they have to ask for help in doing it. But they haven't and they won't because their culture is that of corruption. Venezuela was very rich just a few years ago but they chose free rice cookers over freedom. I'm sorry but not all cultures need to be accepted. Some just suck.
