Like I said, I could post links but you wouldn't believe the evidence. You'll just say they "pulled it out of their ass". What a great scientific rebuke.
No I wouldn't people lie on the internet too and you can find websites that lie to you. I don't care that you can cherry pick links but smart of you not to waste your time doing that.
I've cores give an average temp from prehistoric times they didn't record fluctuations that onset quick. So it's just a wild ass guess that what's currently happening is even abnormal. It's not like a short lived fluctuation and temperature hasn't even happened in human history. I.e. The mini ice age. But even then I don't deny that there is some human contribution to global temperatures. I just deny the people who let it happen at also the people to stop it, the government. I'm way more worried about an authoritarian government they kill way more people than climate ever thought about. The arrogance of people to think they know what's causing this to think that they have the power to control it is hubris. This is why I'm not in your religion and this is why it is a religion.
Two things to remember about the little ice age. - it was incredibly expensive to those living at the time. - it behaved like this, where you can compare the little ice age period to the warming that faces us today:
But did the people living at the time think they had any control over it? How did it happen without a petrochemical industry? So how will a doctorial government help? If this problem is caused by man the authoritarian governments of the 20th century where the primary cause. It's like treating a cancer patient by shooting them in the face.
There are a number of factors that are believed to have contributed to the little ice age. Those living at the time were not aware of causes. You can't blame government for adverse effects that people were not aware of. Today, we can not plead ignorance. When we become aware of a cause of cancer, we work to shut it down. What are we doing now that we know something of the costs and causes of climate change?
I would still rather die free from this impending climate Doom then live under a dictator. What's the value of life under a dictator more people will probably die. A gradual warming is probably something that we are much more capable of adapting to rather than a genocide. You don't give murderers power. And are government loves murdering people. And it's one of the better ones.
It's Trump who promises dictatorship - and states there will be violence if people don't vote for him. Also, we're doing very well today. You can't pitch America as death on a stick.
You can Believe what you wish. But the people who are trying to take away our find, free speech, ability to think for ourselves and choose what vehicles we drive for us are much more authoritarian than someone who wants to protect the boarder. The only people that say that are the ones terrified of Trump.
Another one bites the dust. Hertz CEO Steps Down after Catastrophic EV Losses Eric Worrall Buy Electric, lose your job?
He didn't buy electric. He bet a percent of the company that people would pay more to rent electric cars on business trips. And, he did it in spite of the company business model - renting less expensive versions of cars. That was a bad business decision.
Trump blocked the historically aggressive, REPUBLICAN border bill by ordering his suck-ups to do so for PERSONAL reasons!! You can buy any car you want. In fact, prices of ICEs are low, because the industry notes there currently exists a significant oversupply.
Hmmm. "Scherr, 59, joined Hertz several months after it emerged from bankruptcy and started making splashy wagers on electric vehicles. Under new owners Knighthead Capital Management and Certares Management, the rental company announced plans to order 100,000 vehicles from TeslaInc., sending the automaker’s market capitalization soaring past the $1 trillion mark at the time. Those bets went awry last year, when Tesla slashed prices across its lineup to keep growing vehicle sales. This hammered the resale value of used Model 3 sedans and Model Y crossovers just after Hertz had added tens of thousands of those vehicles to its fleet. By December, Hertz started selling off 20,000 electric vehicles, or about a third of its EV fleet. Germany’s Sixt SE — a leading car-renter in Europe — is taking even more drastic measures, phasing Teslas out of its fleet entirely."
I'm not at all surprised that people didn't want to mix experimenting with EVs and the purpose of their trip.
Perhaps Shell oil company is a better indicator. Shell is closing 1,000 gas stations to convert to EV charging. https://insideevs.com/news/713296/shell-closes-1000-gas-stations-to-focus-on-ev-charging/ This seems to be mostly focused on Europe. But, it is a clear indication of where the world outside the USA is going, as measured by serious analysts that are steeped in oil logic.
Yes. He made a business decision that was not well thought out, I guess. Today Hertz rents three different BEVs (a Chevy Bolt, a Silverado, and a well rated Kia) and some other ICE specialty cars, like Shelby GT and a lux SUV that goes for $469/day!! I think you need to reevaluate what the mistake was. Clearly, there was a mistake of some sort.
You're still off the mark. Remember that they still rent EV cars and trucks. And, what people rent is not shown to be an accurate statement of what they buy.
Whatever you say. The company, which once said EVs would account for a quarter of its rental fleet by 2025, is selling some 20,000 electric vehicles and replacing them with gas-powered cars.Jan 16, 2024 Hertz reverses course on electric vehicles - Utility Dive
https://www.forbes.com/sites/bradte...hy-did-hertz-sell-off-teslas/?sh=f36d87265572 Forbes suggests it has to do with more crashes, probably coming from different interface style and the fact that Teslas have the acceleration of high end sports cars.
Sure. Hertz reported Tesla renters were getting in more crashes, costing more per crash, and that customers simply weren’t requesting them at the rate expected.
