WTH are you talking about? Are you confusing posters since it appears your sthick is to quote someone, gas light and deflect then ask some dumb unrelated question and then go on to do the same with someone else. I guess having zero credibility makes this possible. Now, go pester someone that chases silly wabbits...

They would get the standard deduction which would be about half of that so 10% on $20,000 for a single person seems fine.

    YOU referred me to this

    "Income Disparity
Income disparity is the most dramatic when you look at how the distribution of wages has changed since 1979. As the EPI reports: "The top 1% earned 14.6% of all wages in 2021—twice as high as their 7.3% share in 1979. The bottom 90% received just 58.6% of all wages in 2021, the lowest share on record, and far lower than their 69.8% share in 1979."1
    https://www.investopedia.com/personal-finance/how-much-income-puts-you-top-1-5-10/"

    The numbers

Bottom 50% 10.4% of income 2.3% of taxes 3.4% rate
Between bottom half and top 25% 17.5% of income 8.4% of taxes 7.2% rate
    Top 25% to 10% 19.5% of income 13.4% of taxes 10.3% rate
    Top 10% to 5% 10.6% of income 10.2% of taxes 14.3% rate
    Top 5% to 1% 15.7% of income 19.9% of taxes 18.9% rate
And top 1% 26.3% of income 45.8% of taxes 25.9% rate

So once again if you agree with Biden that the above does not represent tax fairness then post the numbers that should be our goal? What would finally be fair? How much MORE progressive would you make our already highly progressive tax system?

your denial flies in the face of reality by definition, those on the right are less enamored with government than those on the left

I am the one who originated the income disparity question when will you be prepared to answer it inspite of the discomfort it is causing you?

I already answer several times about #454 it is none of the government's business. Wealthy disparity has not effect on me nor you. No wealthy person prevented me from earning my compensation nor held me down in achieving it.

What is it you assert I have not answered vis-a-vis #454, my OP addresses it.

From Jan to Dec, (tax year), an average withholding tax of 10%, and at tax filing season, a refund that equates to amount of tax withheld, and then some.

For better budgeting, bottom 50%, mine as well reduce their withholding tax rate to zero, and pay their child tax credit monthly.

You're the one that claimed you had already answered @dairyair post before it was pointed out it quite clearly you did not and then you doubled down with a wall of unrelated text to save face. That's disingenuous and I'd like you to point that answer out before post #459. Thanks, when you clear that up, you might get a specific response. Or, you can just admit that your "answer" claim was spurious and wrong.

Well, there you have it, another silly wabbit posing as a response. Weak sauce seems like a stock in trade for the MAGA crowd.

Well first your entire post is fallacious since #454 which your #459 says I have not answered does NOT ask a question nor was it even addressed to me. I addressed it's premise which you continue to ignore.

What is the SPECIFIC question you are claiming as your dodge I have not answered and since I posed the question first the ball is in YOUR court.

    Stop with the obtuse post.

So you can't point to a post # in this thread that should you answered @dairyair 's post before #459? Figures, you made it up per the norm. Tip, nothing to worry about, there was zero cred to begin with! now, what you keep posting above is not linked nor sourced so, suspect given the past record and interactions. Good luck but zero cred in your posts and numbers is of your own doing. How Trumpian....he'll be proud!

And I showed the income disparity.
It's in line with the tax rate.

And for reasons you already agreed with. That more lower income people will have more of their earnings percentage going to taxes instead of food, clothing, and shelter.

    His post ASKED NO QUESTION

    4 post later you posted

There was no response required between them nor did I assert one. I respond to YOUR post.

It was not even addressed to me so I owed it nothing.

But I responded directly to you

"What about it? Since when is the governments responsibilty and the purpose of the tax code to limit what a person can earn."

    you're dodging and trolling now.
